Patriots team is a joke this year. They simply don't have the personnel to compete this year. Even more weakened roster and older out of form Brady. What makes you think they'll be good?
Bill B will pay the price for being cheap letting players go and not signing any good players in the offseason.
Patriots don't have a chance this game. Chargers overall much better players in all positions. Even at qb Rivers is currently playing better than Brady this year.
End has been near and there are signs it's coming. They have been lucky they didn't lose to Jax at home last year. Jax didn't have a qb that could close. Today similar spot but Chargers have a qb so Patriots are in trouble.
All things come to an end. NFL is tired of the same stale Brady Belichick storyline narrative. Today Patriots dynasty ends.

It will not be as close as your score prediction... or if the final score is that close, it will only be as a result of some garbage-time points scored by the Pats!
Chargers will beat the garbage out of this team!

By the way not trolling or making a stupid post. I absolutely hate the Chargers but I have to admit they are pretty good and for sure good enough to win against the weakest NE team I ever seen during Brady-Bill B era.

I agree! Don't like the Chargers, don't care how far they go... I just know what my eyes tell me, and like you said, this Pats team is weak as sh!t...
In my opinion, on a neutral field, they were the 5th or 6th best playoff team in the AFC, and the 11th or 12th best team in the playoffs overall...
Meanwhile, the Chargers are #1 or #2 in the AFC, and top 4 overall.

Chargers SHOULD win because they know how to win and the win at KC was one for the ages. Too bad Denver got lucky and denied them the best record in the AFC.
But as the NFL does what the NFL does - they have the Chargers playing 2 Road games at the 1.05pm time and ultimately giving the Patriots an x factor they don't deserve.
The Refs being the mind controlled mutts they are will call everything for Patriots and will keep them in it.
Chargers in the real reality should win by 14. They probably will need to own the ball, run it and keep the patriots behind otherwise I can just see a close game that will favor the Patriots. That's what the Bookies are expecting and hoping.

A die hard Pats fan , I do agree SD is tough, but when you give BB a week to prepare and add in that the chargers played a very physical game and Ravens. I also forgot to add the travel SD has had last 2 weeks. The weather is cold not Green Bay cold but cold. I see patriots pulling out a 24-14 or somewhere in that area.

This is the deepest Chargers team I can remember. All bases coveredHowever it still comes down to whether we can trust Rivers to make the right plays when it counts.
For me the Chargers have had the hardest schedule this season - they have been in battle after battle after battle and all Rivers does is make the right play when it counts... He is firmly a Tier 1 QB in my opinion along with the usual hall of famers we mention as Tier 1 franchise QBs... This is a non-concern for me...
For me this comes down to weather and coaching... 1) It is absolutely frigid at Foxboro today. 2) we all know how masterminds versus pawns tend to end up...
Neutral field I'll take Chargers pick-em and still worry about #2... In New England, frigid temperatures, Bill versus Lynn - it's hard for me to pull the trigger on Chargers.. Still deciding... Oh and it's a 1pm EST game which is less than ideal for a West Coast team... Once again, the NFL makes the Chargers play at 10 PST on the East Coast

It's an illusion. He only beats bad teams with bad defences during the Playoffs. The extra week will only buy time before the elimination today.

Face it folks. You're not winning with guys like Stephon Gilmore and Rex Burkhead. Just NO. That is too brutal. I knew when Pats acquired those two guys they will never win another SB. Pats were good before but that's in the PAST.
Gilmore? He is going to to Pro Bowl this year, playing on of this best years, and has played great down the stretch. Burkhead? I like him in short yardage situations and he is also playing well well not hurt. He is also a good blocker in passing situations.
Your comments about BB/Brady? Yes, they win another one here and make it to the 9th consecutive AFC Championship.

Patriots don't deserve to go to the AFC title game. Team is too weak and it's shocking to me Bill B thinks he can put out this terrible roster on the field and think they can win. They will make their exit here.
Who did they recently beat last time they were in playoffs? Titans (joke team) and they almost lost to Jax, but only won because got some help from refs. Then they get torched by Foles. Keep in mind this was with a much stronger team than this year with more offensive weapons. They atleast had deep threat Cooks and clutch Amendola. This year who they got? Edelman coming off injury and not looking as good as he was and old Gronk.

This is the most insightful post on this thread!
Pay attention to the reasons people are using to favor the Pats... NONE of them ever have anything to do with the Pats being a better football team! It is always weather, and travel, and preparation. Those are factors that tip the balance when two teams are on the same level... they are NOT factors that swing the balance from one end of the spectrum to the other.
Chargers are battle-tested, and THAT is what you want in the playoffs... not just in football, but in any sport! Add the fact that they are WAY more hungry than the Patriots...
Getting points, with the superior talent and the more battle-tested and hungrier team? That is the sportsbettors gold mine!

Anthony Lynn is clueless on the sidelines. Belichick will have him scratching his head all day long. I'm a big River's fan, but I'm sure he will be scrambling for his life on every passing play.

I really don't know Lynn that well... but watching the Chargers down the last half of this season, I always came away with the impression that they were a well-coached team, and usually felt like they were making in-game adjustments more effectively than their opponent.
Am I missing something?
