good morning guys, another day of NFL football playoffs and there are two good games to get to today. I have not completely decided on which team I'm going to back here though I am leaning taking the Bengalswith points. I do not know which team defense is going to show up and I think it's the defense that's going to win this game ultimately.
there's no doubt in my mind that Andrew Luck is the better quarterback and should be adequately favored, the problem really resides in Indianapolis defense. Playoff games do however have a knack for bringing out the best in underperforming defenses, especially those defense is playing at home.
good luck to all of you in whatever you decide to play I'm still on the fence but I will post my pic prior to game time.

I have been looking at Indianapolis at home and based on their strength schedule for teams beaten at home, I would have to say the proper edge should go to Indy here, and I think a line of -4 is accurate.
I hate taking -4 in playoffs though because I could see Indianapolis win this one by a FG.
Cincinnati on the other hand, has a good record playing away, and I do think you need to look at what happened with these two teams as they played before.
In playoff atmosphere the gap will be shortened, but I'm leaning to the Colts favor here, perhaps buying down line to -2.5 or at least -3.

I am leaning Ginger for his first playoff win. Colts don't have Bradshaw, which they had first match up. They should also learn from the beat down they got in the regular season. Indy's front isn't that good and they have come from behind a lot this season and they certainly fell behind last year's home playoff win. If I had the balls I would take Cincy 1st H as I think the team with the better running game will prevail. If we learned anything from yesterday is that the refs are good for points(over) and the team with the better running game and run defense won both games.
Cincy +3.5

Thanks. I tend to put a lot of weight on a team's most recent results especially when playing at home. The only team that they've lost to the Colts I mean in the last 5 games at home have been the New England Patriots who are arguably Super Bowl contenders at the moment. I don't know if I really see cincinnati playing on the road in an indoor environment where they have already then demolished this season winning this game out right. That's not to say that I don't think this game is going to be closed or Indianapolis potentially wins on a field goal. But if you look at who cincinnati has played on the road recently I can't say that any of those teams are truly quality teams.

The AFC North in my opinion is the best division in football. 3 of their teams made it to the playoffs. I put some weight over that than say Indy, who plays Jax, Texans, and Titans. Those teams are not good at all. So the competition they face is greater. I will go look at the schedule but certain things happen during the season where you can throw it out during the playoffs. If they got smoked why is the line only 3? Typical home field advantage line all things equal. Well I don't think these teams are equal. Cincinnati is going to hit Indy in the mouth and I don't think Indy will have enough to come back. Thats why I like Cincy first H and if they are u by 10 points you can come back around with the Colts second half. And Cincy to get off the schnide can get a Playoff win.

On the FENCE Myself…To Back Luck?
Hate "Carrot Top" Dalton…. But Shite Happens.
N the Bungles could keep it Close or Straight Up WIN.
The Colts Shutout of the Bungles in October seems like Yrs ago.
27-0 …
ESPN:
Indianapolis (11-5) limited the Bengals to 135 total yards, including 32 on the ground, sacked Dalton three times and forced Kevin Huber into a team record-tying 11 punts to earn the 500th victory in franchise history.
The Bengals, who had an NFL-low 20 sacks, need to get to Luck to have a shot at winning.
Although he failed to hit the 300-yard mark in five of the final six games after doing it nine times over the first ten, Luck may be poised to break out against a defense that was ranked 20th with 243.0 passing yards allowed per game.
May end up Teasing this Game??

upon further REVIEW, Cincy had played the OT TIE game the week before to none other than guess who, the Wild Card winning Carolina Panthers and then they were looking ahead to a rematch with Baltimore who they beat after that loss, for a sweep of Baltimore I may add. So Cincy had played a full extra 15 minutes against a tough physical team and them were playing a tough physical divisional rival the following week. I like this information. Makes sense they would lay an egg in that spot during the middle of the season. I wonder if Hill had taken over complete control of starting RB duties at that point. Another look...

Gio was in fact the starting RB and get this, only 7 carries from him and 4 from Jeremy Hill. I picked Gio as a high draft pick in my fantasy football league so I was following the situation closely as I didn't get Hill and boy did he take off. He is bigger and faster and just an all around better running back than Gio Bernard. I am going to go out on a limb and say Hill gets up to 20 touches today. Guy's a beast, and he went to LSU and we know the kind of impact we have seen from LSU rookies in the NFL this season.
