i think captain joe gives the cheifs problems all game. if they dont score at least 25 i would be chocked.
I have to say, if this was a business meeting and you were pitching this product, it would not get a majority vote and pass the board.
I wish you LUCK in your HUGE bet, I don't want to see you lose, that's for sure.

Revenge is a dish best served cold, same goes for the 49ers. No way Cincy waltzes into Arrowhead and pulls out a victory in the AFC Championship game or a cover for that matter. Points don't matter in these games, either Cincy wins or lose by alot. I think they lose by alot.

It's called a metaphor. Weak in the English language are you, you're 2nd language perhaps? Night school is always available, check it out.

0-5 in first 5 revenge games, why can’t it be 0-6?

if you’re using a metaphor maybe support it with facts? A locomotive averages 26mph and you trying to mislead sops on here by saying a locomotive goes 100mph, no need to be hostile just cause you’re a moron

@charlielo55
With all due respect & no disrespect to you Charlie I posted this in another thread last Friday and pertaining to the TITLE in your thread
Here let me chime in and play Devil’s advocate for a minute since Buffalo is out in one of the best football games I’ve seen in a helluva long time.
How about this the Rams finally beat the 49ers this Sun?
Both Bengals / Rams are in the SuperBowl.
Didn’t someone mentioned the Chiefs had their Super Bowl last week
Of course the Bengals being the Dark Horse
Parity is always duly noted on any given Sunday
Oops times up gotta run
I’m outta here. ……WTF do I know

@Macwestie1
For sure
Fortunately I placed a wager on The Rams to win the SB before the season started at 12.5 to 1, so looking to make up this hefty los plus a some. I went ahead and hedged it with Cincy+4 and Cincy ML +170. I win money either way but would prefer a Rams victory.

This is a weird subject to be splitting hairs over, and I'm not sure why you would choose to pick apart such a common metaphor, but here goes. For one, the "locomotive" is just the engine of a train. Train speeds typically average, something around what you cited, depending on what they are pulling and the population of the area through which they are traveling. Passenger trains (traditional not light rail) are probably governed at around 55-65 mph. Freight/tanker trains obviously move much slower, especially through populated areas. Highspeed rail trains (Bullet trains) can reach upwards of 200+ mph but make no mistake about it, just about any "locomotive" can reach a speed of 100 mph if it isn't pulling anything.
None of this is here nor there though. Regardless of if we are talking a passenger train, a freight train, or just a locomotive, whether it's going 200 mph or just 20 mph, this metaphor has to do with force. Something being an unstoppable force. "That team's a freight train that can't be stopped!" Force is Newton's 2nd law stuff. Mass X Acceleration. And because a train is so damn massive, even if it is only travelling 26 mph, it's still a force. It'll probably still take a freaking mile to stop the thing. It's a damn train. Whether it's a locomotive traveling 100 mph, or a fully loaded train with double stacked sea containers moving 20 mph, it's still a force to be reckoned with.
