He is 24-11 on the Blazing Five so far this year.  I agree with all of these picks with the only sketchy one being Cleveland.  I think Cleveland has a good shot at winning if Richardson is healthy but that is a big IF.

yeah last week i tailed him but had already slammed the vikings. He goes 4-1 and his only loss was the vikings game putting me 5-0. But in reality I don't see him going 1-4. I listen to his show every morning on my way to work and never remember him doing that bad. Especially on the NFL most of his loses this year were college which he no longer does.

Every Friday in the fall, ESPN’s Colin Cowherd picks five football games against the spread and calls it his “Blazing Five.”

He’s done this for years, and his handicapping seems to be improving. As far as we can tell, he went 51-37 (.580) against the spread last year picking NFL games all the way through the playoffs.

This year, he’s even better, posting a 24-11 (.686) ATS mark after seven weeks.

How good is that? Well, it’d currently rank in a tie for fifth—only one point off the lead—in the LVH SuperContest standings. The leader, Kurly  has 25 points with a 24-9-2 record.

Cowherd is a polarizing radio figure who some criticize as being overly arrogant at times, but in this case—no matter how you feel about him—it’s time to give credit where credit is due. He’s currently dominating a field composed of 745 of (supposedly) the world’s best NFL handicappers, and he’d be in contention to claim the $447,000 first-place prize.

*Cowherd’s Week 2 “Blazing Five” included a pick of OhioState -16.5 against California, which lost. So, Cowherd is 24-10 in his NFL picks and could theoretically have 25 wins if he had replaced that losing pick with an NFL winner.

I admit he is a douche bag but he can cap the NFL thought I would past this article along since there was a thread about Colin every week it seems.
