Could someone please tell me how many people in history have been struck by lightning?

Hmmm. Now do you have a breakdown by decades?  Just tryna figure out why this has become such a big thing. And out of those 2486 people how many were just inebriated and just THOUGHT they were hit by lightning 

My sister n law was on a phone call 35 years ago

lightning hit the phone line/house

she got emergency treatment

since then…..

suffers dabilatating seizures out of nowhere every so many months/ years

takes many days to recover when she comes to
