1. Does the forum actually generate revenue, or is it just there to keep people sticky to the site for your other revenue generating features?
2. The search feature has been terrible for years. And the new formatting of the website makes older threads very hard to read. Cant we do better on these two things?
3. What ever became of Lou?

Cool idea. never seen this before on the site.
1) Is there a plan to ever come out with a mobile app for the site/forum?
2) How many employees are at Covers? How long have you worked there?
3) are most employees gamblers or is it a bit like working on Olive Garden and growing to hate ordering pasta?

We have a nice new office actually, only about 3 months old based out of Halifax, N.S..We do work remotely as well, its sort of a 50/50 but we have some who are fully remote.
Love my boss, It's truly a great spot to work.

1. The forum does not generate any revenue, it is strictly there for our users to interact with each other, and discuss sports betting. It does have positive effects on the SEO aspect, however.
2. Noted and passed on to the community manager. He may reach out for more specifics.
3. Lou was retired as a forum personality. But Lou lives on as a legend in the office.

1. We have been focussing on improving the mobile experience on our site, you may have noticed all of our pages are now mobile-friendly and will crop to whatever device you are using. We have tested the waters with an App but we first wanted to focus on mobile-friendly views.
2. We are currently around 80 employees, which is about double what it was this time last year. I've been here for 8 years.
3. We certainly have a lot of gamblers in-house, a few big spenders, but there are a lot of developers, HR, etc that are sports fans but not big gamblers. A few of us hit a HUGE F1 bet 2 years ago, just some fun in office betting. Its kind of funny that a Covers employee cant figure out how to make a link "clickable" like the rest of us in post 7.

You guys must just laugh at the utter stupidity that goes on in these forums.
Like parents who talk to each other about their kids when they aren't around.
Must be endless entertainment.
Thanks for doing this. I think this should get interesting.

It's no different than any other forum. I've certainly won a lot of bets following some people in here.
you definitely get both sides of the spectrum here.

Nobody here is less aware how to post YouTube links in posts than me...they tell me it's fixed and I still can't seem to pull off a grade two move ... I'll stick to copy and paste websites for now

Lou was retired as a forum personality? what does that even mean? Kinda feels like your implying that you guys have a bunch of different accounts to drive the public perception to a certain direction??

Has Covers considered a premium service where members can pay a monthly service charge for access? Could reduce the clutter from trolls and political commentary. TY

@ChitownPicks
It's an idea that has been floated around but never gained much traction. One of the reasons we are as popular as we are is because our services are free. A paywall would generate income but would decimate the traffic on the site.

@MIZARD
Lou was before my time, but I'm pretty sure it was an account run by a single Covers employee. Lots of Covers employees have forum accounts. Most are noted under the profile name..
We do not have burner accounts or anything like that I assure you. We have fantastic mods that handle most of this stuff.

Can you create a separate forum for the "the game is rigged" stuff? It clutters the forums too much.
Also, when a Mod boxes someone and that someone ask why, etc. the mod who does the boxing should have the decency to reply.

Can't tell if your joking or not on the 'game is rigged' stuff. Funny idea can only imagine the things that would get posted in there.
As for the Mods replying, We have an internal message that explains the reasoning behind the suspension or ban. Our community guidelines are pretty clear, I'm sure most know why it happened.
However, reaching out in the help forum for reasoning could be a better option as our support staff also monitors that as well as the mods.
