@AJ86 I have to disagree. Daniels shows more poise than RG3 did. Plus Daniels builds confidence in his teammates. RG3 lacked that part. His coach did hurt him back then. Daniels is also a lot more accurate in his throws than RG3. RG3 was all about him, not his team, were Daniel’s is a team player.
Okay maybe he was a cancer in the locker room. I have heard that. But my point is this. When you look at their Year 1 stats, they are basically identical. Saying 1 player could do this better or one could do that better, or one could spin on their head faster, that's great.
My point is that in Year 1, stats = basically identical for both passing or running. So to say 1 was better than the other makes no sense when they put up the exact same numbers. Now do I agree that Daniels looks great in year 1? Absolutely. But so did RG3. ESPN couldn't stop talking about the guy.
This is like looking at Issac Guerrendo (SF) and Alexander Mattison (LV). Both ran for 420 yards this year and 4 tds and around 30 yards a game. But one was much better than the other. You need more data then just 1 year.
Just my 2 cents.

it makes sense to say one was better than the other, rg3's name doesnt come up when anyone talks about daniels because they clearly know daniels is better and it's not a good comparison. just because some of the numbers appear similar doesnt mean the perfomances were the same while they were doing it and thats the thing. did aaron rodgers play better than mahomes this year? I'd guess most would say no, but their stats were similar.
rodgers: 3,897 yds 28 tds 11 ints
mahomes: 3,928 yds 26 tds 11 ints
