And with 420 rushing attempts vs the Denver defense they had more rushes against them than 6 of the top 7 only jets had more and it was only 1 more attempt.  Throw that logic out the window.  Teams try to run on Denver to play ball possession and they usually fail.  Then they are behind and become one dimensional and have to throw.

Ladies and gentleman, how many turnovers did the Pats have in the first half? I want to say three picks and a fumble lost. I as a Bronco fan, fell asleep at halftime thinking the game was sewed up. Would have pounded NE 2nd half that game and may do that this game. Denver could build an early lead and I can see Tommy Boy coming back again. But do you honestly think the Pats will turn the ball over 3 or 4 times in the game let alone one half of. Football. It was probably their worst half this season. That is NOT going to happen again and those betting Denver are gambling that Brady and Belli will repeat the same mistakes. I'm going to say hell no and I've got 550 on +4.5 and get to Vegas Saturday and I'll see where things fall. Good luck. I'm going to be wearing my Elway jersey and rooting Pats, just kidding, I don't wear kids clothes.

                     You are correct about the patriots falling behind early in that game.  What was it now?  First 3/3 drives by the patriots turned over by the broncos for points.  Yep.  Then what happened?  Patriots caused the same thing to happen to the broncos 2nd half.  So it's safe to assume that both of these squads had fluke halfs in regards to turnovers for points against.  The last 3 quarters of that game were controlled by the patriots.  Chargers were in control of the 2nd half of that game Sunday night.  I think second half adjustments win this game.   Patriots obviously have the edge there.   

              As for that jets team you have listed as your favorite.    I like Rex Ryan's style of coaching.  They way he interacts with his players is fun to watch.  Seems like a real cool guy to play for.  However the Jets were gifted a 2nd attempt at the field goal to beat the patriots earlier in the year.  That was 1 of the strangest calls I seen all year.   What was it? An illegal block in the back on a field goal attempt.   As a sports fan I expect better calls to be made.  That was B.S.

You hit it on the nose. It's the human element! As humble as players like Manning and Brady portend to be, a legacy of records is always on the minds of the great ones. You don't throw 1/2 yard TD's then state records aren't important , it's all about winning. I don't buy it. The human element here is as much as Manning wants to win, he wants to beat Brady more, that will lead to mistakes and Brady owns Manning. In 14 matchups Brady 10-4. That will be the difference and New England will win.

I'm sorry to say you just don't get it!! How one team plays against another is irrelevant, especially when it comes to this game. It's not Denver vs New England, it's Manning vs Brady. I know that even a blind squirrell finds a nut, but Brady owns Manning. End of story!

There not even on the field at the same time. Denver is going to romp and the fact that the Pats are getting so much support only strengthens my Denver play

this is a done deal gang..4 teams left, 2 known teams will go.   the winners are  :  Mr. Paul allen and his a$ian owners turn  vs  Mr.Elway,nfl golden boy of the 20th century and the guy whose team ,denver will deflect the murder trial of the patriots TE.   nfl will not have patriots go to superbowl during a murder trial  and 1000 reporters from around the world... no the white hat denver/elway/manning family/nfl(wears white hat today)  will meet the orienyt and billion $$ owners..  NFL IN ASIA MY children ...soon  soon...   seattle is adored by more japanese/asian fan than we got ppl in america...seattle/denver....then i mite take the seadogs...   big asian $$$

Right I don't need to watch it I can make a calculated hypothesis results based on public perception and line dictation.  A lot of times I don't watch the games. I watch espn highlights to see what I missed. U will be watching these games though.

Sports Illustrated cover jinx took care of Auburn a few weeks ago, and now it's Peyton's turn. Manning + Fox + Del Rio = all career playoff chokers.

THe pub is pounding the pats hard, and i won't be fooled by the smoke and mirrors that is this new england team. Denver will be able to run the ball at will on this patriot d line, and there's no way in hell a cast that features edelman vereen and amendola is going to keep pace. Denver huge, agree with pnuts.

Publics 60/40 pats.   Not that big of a spread.  If it were 90/10, 85/15, maybe even 80/20.  I could see your point.  However sometimes the public is on the right side.  I think the under is where most will be fooled this Sunday.  

FTR- I'm on under 55 pats game.

This is such a stupid comment.  You did watch the game right?  If not for a 4th and 5 bomb against a guy who is a 5th string DB AND then recovering the onside kick, this game is a 10-17 point Denver win.  To not see Denver dominated that game last week is foolish.

Thanks for confirming NE and UNDER on Sunday for me.  Your handle serves you well.  Roasted Nuts.  NE is going to run it and run it and run it and run it to keep the ball out of Manning's hands.  Should be a repeat of the 1986 Superbowl in which the Giants ate up most of the clock against the Bills.  Late FG decides the game and if you have NE +4.5 (which is very generous) you should be cashing at the window.

..but it's Legerrette Blount.  LEGERRETTE. BLOUNT.  If you even dare say "look at last week" you clearly don't understand things.

I'm sure it could be a repeat of any other Super Bowl between now and 1986 also..

This game has all the makings of a classic that will go down in history as one of the great conference championship games. Who ever wins will prb win by 1 or 2 points on a last second FG..

Gosh...I wish what you just said above wasn't the case regarding Denver and its Defense but its absolutely right one.  I'm a huge Peyton Manning fan and will be rooting for them this weekend but to say that a Belichik coached team will be beaten handily is just irresponsible (one man's opinion).  Once Harris, on of Denver's best defensive cover guys, was pulled from the game, Phillip Rivers carved up Denver (with a little help from Quentin Jammer).  I have a feeling that old Rob Gronkowski will be sorely missed here but honestly, that will be what I think keeps this game fairly close.  If not I think you'd be looking at a Patriots team going into Denver as a 1 or 2 point favorite (as crazy as that sounds).

I think Seattle should be 3.5,,correct number, your getting a bargin Denver -4.5 and most of this forum sees it as a bad number to lay, its a steal.

Line has moved from -6.5, -4, back to -6. Say what you want but last game you can throw out the window. Both are different teams since then. That game was all Den first half and all NE second half, arguments can be made either way. Look back at the stats though, and both teams finished almost identical, total plays, total yards, turnovers, TOP, which is why it went to OT. The Pat's have 4 loses of a combined 18 points, and your gonna tell me they lose by 7+? I don't see it. I don't guess which team is going to make the most and costly mistakes when placing my bet because then you're not capping the game properly and reducing odds.

Say what you want about LeGarrette Blount but look at his stat line the last 3 games. 16/76/4.8AVG/2TD, 24/189/7.9AVG/2TD, 24/166/6.9AVG/4TD. It's not only him but his offensive line. You can score on Denver, especially with the loss of Miller & Harris, and the Pat's have an offense capable of doing it. NE defense will give Peyton the short stuff ALLLL day but I will be surprised if they have any success down field unless there is a blown coverage.  The line is insulting at -6 because of the offensive numbers Denver has put up this year. It's inflated for the public. These are the top 2 teams in the conference for a reason.
