Few things to consider before finalizing the earliest game Packers vs Rams:
Sean McVay and Matt LaFleur are close friends and worked together for years under Shanahans in Washington. Later, LaFleur worked a year under McVay with the Rams. Both have faced their former boss from Washington, Kyle Shanahan -- the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers -- multiple times, and he's gotten the best of them each of the 6 times it has happened!!! Shanahan's squad has won four straight over McVay and the Rams, while the 49ers routed the Packers in the regular season last year, then delivered a knockout in the NFC Championship Game.
This will be the fifth time in last 20 seasons when the top-ranked scoring offense and the top-ranked scoring defense in the past 20 postseasons will square off. The defense has won three of the past four matchups
The line of -6.5 seems like a trap and invites to bet on the Packers who has won all of their last 6 games by at least a TD. But, for me more important is their last loss : 31-34 to the Colts in OT. Because the Colts were the only serious defense team they faced while the six games were won against the teams that do not even remotely resemble the Rams defensively.
My conclusion is the summary of those three factors as the QB advantage the Packers have will be offset with the supporting crew the Rams have for the QB as well as with McVay's aggressive approach towards the opposition QB.
And, that summary is 3-0 in favor of the Rams pointing at them as the SU winner. But, I have to consider the fact that the Packers aren't just another team and Rodgers is not just another QB, so, I will grab the points and go for the cover here.

I like Green Bay as well. Rodgers knows his window to another S.B. is closing soon. Offensively the team is clicking on all cylinders. I feel GB's defense steps up to the challenge as all week they keep hearing about LA's #1 defense. The weather will be cold and windy the way GB likes it, LA Rams won't fair well in this weather. They will be looking to get back to LA ASAP as soon as the game is over.
GB -6.5

If Greenbay can hang 21 points its game over. Goff will start folding up even before the pressure gets to him. Jim Everett and Jeff George use to do the same thing.

Feel like maybe rams carry momentum into this game and their defensive backs/d-line tuned up. Can see them forcing rodgers out of the pocket more(which isn't necessarily bad for rodgers as we've seen in past). If the rams cover means Goff outplays rodgers. Tough game both have top 3 secondary and o-line . Rams top defensive front packers mid ranked. Goff bad finger , cold weather and best WR out .....rodgers at -6.5 .....that rams loss to the jets 3 weeks ago sealed the deal for me lol
