DK NFL Super Bowl 57 Thoughts/Discussion

One more week to go and I still don't know how I feel about this Super Bowl.. usually I would have something ready by now but I don't feel comfortable picking any side, or total. Maybe I'm just not excited about this matchup.. For the first time in 13 years, I am really considering sitting this out.. and I have never missed a Super Bowl since I began betting. I am 9-4 ATS in the big game. Super Bowl 57 feels as tough as the Giants vs Pats SB rematch; Seahawks vs Pats; and Eagles vs Pats rematch. Something about NFC East teams in the Super Bowl.. Matchup wise I wasn't as interested in those games either but the enthusiasm in my younger days would object me for missing out so I went on with it anyway.. They turned out to be thrilling Super Bowls to watch after all although I went 1-2 ats on those 3 particular games.

Chiefs vs Eagles could be another better than expected game maybe better than last year's Bengals vs Rams but betting wise it feels tight and reminds me of the Pats/Seahawks Super Bowl where it was a pick 'em. One day I chose Seahawks other days I chose Patriots but ultimately went back to Seahawks. One of the toughest Super Bowls I've ever picked and this game is right up there. It would not surprise me if Super Bowl 57 too ends up being a PK just can't see it getting back to 2 or 3..

Being an eagles fan I will prob sit it out and just hope for ring #2

I could bet a half unit on chiefs...as for me personally that is a win-win bet. My team wins or I win money to ease the sting of the loss.

I'm not much of a nfl playoff bettor as I don't like the limited amount of selection as opposed to reg.season with 12+ games going on a week. 

Eagles have a decent advantage on the DL, much deeper rotation than chiefs...

The OL are actually closer than I thought...chiefs OL a good group

Eagles way better WRs

Chiefs have best TE in game but goedert is top 5

RB slight edge Eagles....Pacheco n Sanders both not 100%

Eagles have a better secondary....but they are also facing the best QB in the league in this game

LBs pretty even, slight edge to chiefs. 

Chiefs have better special teams. Kickers pretty even. Chiefs better punter. Eagles might get punter back for this 1. Been using kern ( he's been bad)

Eagles come in healthier

I think Hurts will be deciding factor....if he hits a deep shot or 2 and gets his confidence going the chiefs in trouble as that will open up the run game even more

If hurts can't hit the broad side of a barn like last 2-3 games and keeps dropping his eyes early like last game the eagles probably in trouble....unless the D completely shuts down mahomes which is a bit of a long shot...or they just rush for 250+ and have TOP for 38+ mins keeping mahomes off field

turnovers and penalties and 3rd down efficiency will play a major role as well

The main thing on my mind currently, sadly, is the refereeing in this game. I'd hate for it to be the main focus but Cheffers is flag happy this season and has always been near the top of that list for the last decade. I am expecting at least a dozen or more flags in this game with Cheffers. It may take the enjoyment out of it. Based on his previous two Super Bowl appearances he has thrown over a dozen flags and lopsidedly against the losing team. that TB/KC game was a damn snoozer one of the worst Super Bowls I've ever watched . NE/ATL was almost on its way to being a horrible Super Bowl until the 2nd half happened lol. Cheffers must've been a closet Brady fan. 

Cheffers has a good lifetime record with the Chiefs compared to Eagles altho lately he has got on Chiefs nerves a few times in recent years.. the Super Bowl loss obviously have made them more anti-Cheffers. Kelce talked shit about him. Chiefs are also most penalized team this season which makes this interesting...

I'd hate to bet on it and ruin my enjoyment if there is going to be some biased refereeing, long replay reviews and all that bullshit. Super Bowls have been well officiated for the most part except for a few. If they can keep the penalties to 10 or less id be happy. Usually those games end up being more enjoyable to watch. Just let the players play..

Leaning towards the under, waiting on Toney and Juju status to pick a side. 

I will be brief so here are my thoughts:The Chiefs by far have had the tougher schedule this year,played against better QB in playoffs,defense stepped up when needed.I have no dought the Eagles are a good team but believe Mahomes will be healthy Sunday and you will see a much better QB then last week,he is incredible at times.I will assure you Eagles will have no answer for Kelcey and if no one is open there goes Mahomes running wild,them boys will be exhausted chasing him and then he throws something sideways for a first,very frustrating for a defense.I have listened to our running back Pacheco and says he is 100% and looking forward for a great game.Yes Chiefs have some injuries but so do the Eagles.I really believe if 49ERS QB did not get hurt they would of lost but SF defense became exhausted as they had no offense and the Eagles just loaded the line to stop running game.The Chiefs had to beat 2 great QB and teams that were playing well to get here.   Good Luck all   Chiefs here +1.5 Hurts is young and he will have many more opportunities.I do think the key here for the Eagles is to establish a run game to keep ball away from Mahomes

The only 4th quarter comeback for the Eagles was against the Jeff Saturday Colts so this has been a unique season for the Eagles when you look at a team who had 14 wins(17 games now but 14 wins is still impressive)

 as a kid i was an unemployed council hoose potatoe pealer with a 2 year old...250 quid...fuk the handicap..we all drank merrily that sunday monday tuesday...greatest ever superbowl..no question..watch it every year..still cant get over replacement qb keeping that dall when he was getting mauled..however that kelly offence....didnt realise our lodr and master ws pure defence.......250 quid at 7/4...wow never had so much monui in my life..the two year old spent most of it..then on many occasions watched me throwing up in thetoilet..slept in my arms as 40/1 scott the choke hoch crumbled and bless his heart payne stewart won the playoff..dem days befor eyou couldnt lay fek aw off...so sh she slep happily ion a fog of fizzy lambrusco and smokey jes....then woke when i was barfing spinning ily all around the bathroom wondering which way was up and why i nver bet the dick ew...happy daze regardless...and seven minutes in instabul taught me never ever ever dance a dance of voctory until final whistle...caroll your the worst coach ever..1 yard out beat in the backfield what does he do..pas...wilson wislon shouldve overruled said fuk that dick beast boy here have this...wallop riches ensue...ponce carrol i knew you weer gonna lose 10 points up and ancing like a fool..ponce...
