If you guys dont comprehend why they lost to the Rams and Seattle then do yourself a favor and QUIT gambling now.  My goodness what is San Fran suppose to go 16-0 now?  Why did Baltimore lose to Pitt lead by Batch at home!!!!???  Thats a better question and I will answer with one word.

BOL on other side catching +4.5 when the line came out.  I do think you have made some good points and I think it will be close.  If I was playing SF I would buy the hook or ML.

DJ, fantastic writeup focusing on CK angle, something totally different in Super Bowls past. I totally concur as you described. Cowboys RAN the ball right down the Ravens throat and I see 49ers trying to do the same. I agree the total is about right except for the turnovers aspect  I easily envision this game a slugfest and battle of running wills like you said

agree with ya Don, these guys talk about balty D in last 2 games but those QBs have NO mobile abilty at all. Coach Jim will have this Balty D guessing which way ball will be going it might take part of game but in the end i believe SF will pull away in 4th Q and not look back. GL all

DJ - I agree with SF.  I think this will be a close low scoring first half with the Niners opening a can 'o woop behind in the 2nd half.  Watch James run for 60, Gore and Crabtree to spread the old Balty D, and the Niners pressuring Flaccco in the pocket to not allow the deep ball.  Niners by 10.

i think everyone agrees that most Divisional games are tough games.

But Super Bowl game is even tougher, no ?

We were simply pointing out that Niners and CK are not invincible like some of the homers think.

if Ck can have a "let down game after an emotional win or simply lost because it was his first-away-divisional-game" (Don's words), then isn't it possible for him to under-achieve in the SB ?

As great as CK may be, some of us are not ready to crown him Champ, yet. Same reason Flacco has performed admirably in this playoff but yet have not earned the 'elite' level.

I do not care who wins... I only care about who has better chance to cover the spread.

ravens backers r using the ole "kaep will fold" tactic that gb and atl backers used. He hasnt. If anything flucco is more likely to fold than kaep. Flucco had the lowest qb rating in history this year.

EXACTLY.

It's all about Joe Flacco's effectiveness, IMO.

I don't see Rice having anything more than an average game.

But Flacco is unpredictable, great one game, terrible another.

The key to Flacco is whether or not you can get pressure on him, IMO.  When he's pressured he sucks, and vice-versa.

Ravens beat broncos? Broncos record against winning teams were not that good. Manning throws were way off target because of surgery. Cold weather affect him that day. Ask a nuero surgeon.  Patriots? Either Welker sucks in big games or getting paid to drop balls. Kapernick is very accurate with throws. 49ers will not drop balls. 49ers win big. will not be close game

CC12.. No, I don't think it's tougher to choose a SB winner. The game is much more evenly matched.. No home field partiality. Two weeks for everyone to get healthy. Coaches have more thime to prepare. And no weather issues in this case. Just a pure chess match. I love it.

Next year it will be much harder because it's outdoors.

Those little town blues keep slipping away.

But your write up smelled like a rant on a San Fran sports talk show in the last week, maybe that is your profession

You say Baltimore should "run the ball up the gut" and hope for turnovers correct? 

What was the halftime score of the Atlanta game?

Exactly! Atlanta showed the blue print for large wide Ravens to run right down the field and backs + tightends expose deep middle.....

Niners deserve all the credit in the world but apart from 1 matt Ryan dropped snap and another interception, that game was a convincing Atlanta win.......Go back and look! They missed 3 +30 yard line trips in the second half and only lost by 4!

Not saying niners D doesn't deserve alot of the credit but to think Baltimore would be afraid of the deep ball......


Like I said at the beginning, you may be right in the end


But just because you can do nothing but foam at the mouth for daddylonglegs and Co. does not make for a convincing write up......

You guys know he is not "off and on" in the playoff's last 2 years right??? Dude should have been in SB last year and is having an alltime playoff run..... Rubbing shoulders with Montana and Young I believe for that TD-INT ration for a playoff runDude is not breathing the same air as all the haters........

Past 7 playoff games, Flacco has 15 TD's to 2 int's. That is all-time great, not exactly on one game and off the next.
