Yes, I'm still alive. I consider it a great honor to have seen every Superbowl since its inception, as well as to contribute to Covers, where my ATS record in the last 21 years is 18-3. I'm grateful for the trust that old friends, new friends, and complete strangers have shown me. Thank you so much for your thoughtful words.
This year, my instinct tells me to go with Philly, for a number of reasons. First and foremost, as I watched Jalen Hurts play at Alabama and Oklahoma, I thought he'd make an excellent NFL quarterback. He exhibited the same calm and composure as Patrick Mahomes over the last two years. Second, there are the receivers...The Chiefs' loss of elite WR Tyreek Hill during the off-season, as well as the improved secondary of the Eagles, will be significant in this game. And the addition of WR A.J. Brown has greatly benefited the Eagles.
The Chiefs had to rebuild their receiving corps after Tyreek signed with Miami, which they did admirably. Tyreek could take it all the way in an instant or make a crucial first down. In fact, the last time they met the Eagles, he scored three touchdowns. Without Tyreek Hill, the edge goes to Philly, with A.J. brown and Heisman trophy winner Devante Smith.
And who doesn't love Andy Reid? His coaching will keep the game very close. However, I believe Brown and Smith, along with Philly's three-pronged running attack will be enough to win in the final minutes.
Therefore, my official Superbowl 57 pick is the Philadelphia Eagles. For the first time on Covers, I'm using the money line -125
Farewell, my friends. If I lose my marbles before SB 58, remember, "Family comes before wagering."
Good Luck and Godspeed,
Your old-timer friend,
Don Juan

Why don't you take Philadelphia -2 (-110) instead of ML -125? Do you expect a really tight game to the finish, like a 1-7 points game? Thanks in advance.

Glad to hear you're back for another year Don! 18-3 is an amazing record. I'd need to go nine straight to match that.. not very easy to do!! Huge testament to Don Juan's Super Bowl prowess
Good luck and God bless
