First, let me make a correction.. My SB record is 11-1, not 12-1
The New York Giants will definitely have big plays and some weapons Eli didn't have when they won 24-20 in the Patriot's home stadium on the 6th of November. Running back Bradshaw and wide receiver Hakeem Nicks were out with injuries, and their starting center.
Did you see them destroy Atlanta ? Holding them to 2 points in the playoffs ! Then embarassing 15-1 Green Bay at home !
If that wasn't enough to convince you, they came back to N.Y. and then traveled 3,000 miles across country taking down 13-3 San Francisco, holding them to 17 in 5 quarters ! Whoa. And, if it wasn't for the scrambling ability of Rodgers and Alex Smith, it would have been much worse of a beating for both teams..Can Brady do that ? I doubt it.
If the Giants didn't have two weeks to rest up from all the traveling, I'd say this game would be close. But I am utterly convinced that N.Y. will win big.. like 38-20
So for my official SB pick Giants + 3
So, send it in

Thanks, I did that because I believe the line will drop to a pick-em next week. I still think it won't be close but might as well get the 3 points.
I saw some books already dropped to NYG +2.5. It might drop further toward NYG +1.5 pts or 1 pt but i'm gussing that late New England money will come to firm it back up.

The oddsmakers had to set the line at Pats -3.5 knowing the Pats are looking for revenge from a 2007 super bowl loss & this seasons loss in Foxboro.......also, the Pats are a public bet team & there is no way the Patriots could have been made a dog in the bowl.

Alzheimer's ?
Don juan, your documented record is 3-1 here on Covers..........and 75% is an admirable record...but the other 8 Super Bowl winners you told your Brother-in-Law would win ....really doesn't count ..
But, best of luck to you this year ..

PTB, are you actually serious? The Pats are the favorite based on what happened in 2007?
They are the favorite for 2 reasons. First, They have not lost a game by more than 7 points all season and Belichick holds a shitload of respect in the eyes of oddsmakers. Second, although the Giants had injuries in the game earlier in the year, so did the Patrots, and Brady threw for over 340 yards against a defense that was missing players, but can't calibrate to the outcome either.
The Patriot defense has gotten BETTER and the Giants' defense is relatively the same. So why are they the favorites in REAL terms. The best coach and quarterback combination in the history of the game is once again in the SuperBowl; not because of some long-assed trend.

Dude, the odds makers arent stupid, they know Brady & the Patriots want revenge after losing that undefeated season..........they also lost this season to the Giants.......they do take into consideration how the public would bet this game..........if they made the Pats -6 pt favs, the would get crushed at the window or if the made the Giants a favorite, it would be all Pats money so yes they take into consideration the past & what the public is assuming.............
They made this line -3.5 knowing they will get action on both sides & we are seeing early sharp action on the Giants but this line should level off at Pats -3 by game time, I could be wrong & it could drop to -2 or -2.5 but I doubt it..............

PTB, it doesnt bother you that everything you see on espn are about the giants? i have seen 4 sob stories of how some of the giants were raised in the hood. then i saw a giants highlight reel about how they got to the superbowl. i have seen NOTHING about the patriots. this is where the pats are deadliest....when it is about something else, whether it be a team, player or other controversy.
I like the giants too but i actually might only risk a 2 spot definitely not one of my larger plays.
