First, let me make a correction.. My SB record is 11-1, not 12-1

The New York Giants will definitely have big plays and some weapons Eli didn't have when they won 24-20 in the Patriot's home stadium on the 6th of November. Running back Bradshaw and wide receiver Hakeem Nicks were out with injuries, and their starting center.

Did you see them destroy Atlanta ? Holding them to 2 points in the playoffs ! Then embarassing 15-1 Green Bay at home !

If that wasn't enough to convince you, they came back to N.Y. and then traveled 3,000 miles across country taking down 13-3 San Francisco, holding them to 17 in 5 quarters ! Whoa. And, if it wasn't for the scrambling ability of Rodgers and Alex Smith, it would have been much worse of a beating for both teams..Can Brady do that ? I doubt it.

If the Giants didn't have two weeks to rest up from all the traveling, I'd say this game would be close. But I am utterly convinced that N.Y. will win big.. like 38-20

Thanks,  I did that because I believe the line will drop to a pick-em next week.  I still think it won't be close but might as well get the 3 points.

I saw some books already dropped to NYG +2.5. It might drop further toward NYG +1.5 pts or 1 pt but i'm gussing that late New England money will come to firm it back up.

And, don't forget that the Giants were +8.5 point underdog at GreenBay, Giants won, Yet they still opened San Francisco at -3 against those Giants.

And the wiser guys are jumping on at 3 also lol

i think oddsmakers already set Pats -3.5 vs Giants and Pats -4.5 vs 49ers before those Conference Championship games.

Don juan, your documented record is 3-1 here on Covers..........and 75% is an admirable record...but the other 8 Super Bowl winners you told your Brother-in-Law would win ....really doesn't count ..

PTB, are you actually serious? The Pats are the favorite based on what happened in 2007?

They are the favorite for 2 reasons. First, They have not lost a game by more than 7 points all season and Belichick holds a shitload of respect in the eyes of oddsmakers. Second, although the Giants had injuries in the game earlier in the year, so did the Patrots, and Brady threw for over 340 yards against a defense that was missing players, but can't calibrate to the outcome either.

The Patriot defense has gotten BETTER and the Giants' defense is relatively the same. So why are they the favorites in REAL terms. The best coach and quarterback combination in the history of the game is once again in the SuperBowl; not because of some long-assed trend.
