For TV ratings what could possibly bring in more viewers a Ravens/Broncos matchup or a Colts/Broncos matchup?  This league is such an act, and will bring as much as they can so that there will be some type of drama filled story.  For instance, what a story it would be with Manning going against his old team and his young replacement.  With that said...

certainly not the only reason the make a bet on a team, but with the way the nfl and all major sports are run as a business in it for profits and the maximum profits  only, this is certainly an angle worth noting. I feel it's more prevalent in nba compared to nfl  though
