only incident I remember similar to this was when Wings Defenceman Jiri Fischer had a cardiac arrest in 2005. Thankfully the medical staff administered CPR and they had an AED available at the Joe Louis arena; rightfully the NHL suspended the game and Fischer made a successful recovery though he never played in the NHL again; 

A guy just lost his life...time for everyone to stop fighting and chill!

Unfortunately for me I had a heart attack while being in hospital being looked at for shortness of breath a year and half ago. I flat lined for over 9 min. and the three doctors were dedicated to bringing me back to life. They were concerned of my neurological and brain disorder from the incident. Happy to say I function 100% much to their amazement with medication for assistance to heal though it did take me a little time to recoup to walking and functioning motor skills

So hopefully he will.recover. I pray for the man! Have a great night.
