As quite literally as good of a story as Michael Oher has been in his career and this season, he was one of the worst overall tackles in the league this year, only grading above average one week (Week 17). Both guards and the center are very good pass blockers for Carolina, but the weaknesses of the tackles will likely be exploited

Michael Oher, T During the regular season, Sebastian Vollmer of the New England Patriots was graded at left tackle by Pro Football Focus as the 40th ranked tackle in the league. That is 19 spots ahead of Michael Oher, who plays left tackle for the Panthers. In the AFC Championship Game against Denver, Vollmer gave up one sack and five quarterback hits. "Blind Side" protecting Cam Newton's actual blind side is something to focus on while Carolina works to establish its offense. One might expect that the Panthers will try to run the ball right at an edge player like Von Miller in order to "slow down" the pass rush for Denver, but Oher actually received the worst run blocking grade of any tackle that PFF has ever evaluated (over 600 in nine seasons) this year.

Why dont you compare how both teams played GB. Packers were smoked after going 6-0. The following week they played panthers and Rodgers missed a wide open guy to have a chance to tie.

ruff ruff21 your post made me curious so i checked out the Denver & Carolina schedule... Taking the predictive Power rankings as of this morning.....Here are the games each played against the bottom 1./2 of that ranking....
bottom 16 in rank order by PREDICT POWER RANKING Regular season CAROLINA DENVER 17 PHIL X 18 SD X,X 19 INDY 29-26 WIN 24-27 LOSS 20 NYG X 21 MIA OPEN DID NOT PLAY 22 ATL X,X 23 OAK X,X 24 DAL X 25 WASH X 26 CHI X 27 NO X,X 28 SF OPEN DID NOT PLAY 29 TB X,X 30 CLV X 31 JAX X 32 TENN X
1 common opponent. Indy Carolina played them @ home, Denver played them in Indy... Both were 3 point games
So Denver played 7 games vs the bottom 16 teams Carolina played 13 games against the bottom 16 teams
the only rat is the schedule makers...but then some of these teams were total disappointments and not the schedule makers faults... The NFC Least comes to mind on this list....
But once again the GLARINGLY WEAK schedule of Carolina points to the UNRELIABILITY of their offensive and defensive STATS.... AND begs the question WHAT Panther team shows up? The one that played Seattle & Arizona or the one that, cruised into the playoffs. with 13 of 16 games against the bottom half of the league.....allowing weak and bad teams to look good week after week.

Pass rush is gonna be a major issue for Carolina...

I think this Green Bay game is the only link in comparison to how both defenses do. Denver held Rodgers to his lowest QBR ever i believe, and subsequently held Brady to his 2nd lowest QBR in his career. Rodgers almost had his way with Carolina defense. If Brady played the Panthers he would have mopped up that secondary.
Sip on that plus money honey!

The one good thing about Pack is that I know he won't run and hide when this game is over... he will own up to his predictions!
It's gambling...if this was easy everybody would be retired and millionaires...
Everybody has their own opinions, 50% will be right and 50% will be wrong...
Just comical on this site how pathetic people are who "attack" others because of their opinions...
You might disagree with someone, and provide reasons/stats to support your claim...but to attack a person and insult someone with a keyboard whom youll never meet is just comical and pathetic

So spying Cam, doubling Olson. Sounds easy huh. So someone will be open deep, who covers the screen with ware & miller blitzing. Oh and the lb spying Cam. With 13 guys, you should be good. Who do you think doubles te and wr's? Forgetting all the speed deep the Panthers have.

I do love how people bring up Atlanta...which was a division game which is always tough...and how Atlanta won because of a bomb to Julio in triple coverage.....
But, they dont mention Denver losing at home to Oakland like 13-10 or whatever it was
And there is no reason to bring it up because Peyton Manning was not playing, specifically a healthy Peyton Manning. If Brock Osweiller was starting in the Super Bowl then it should be brought up.
The lion and the tiger may be more powerful, but the wolf doesn't perform in the circus.

SD ran for 93 and 110 yards VS Denver, VS all other teams SD ave 82.5 yards per game.
Raiders ran for 65 and 27 yards VS Denver and ave about 91 yards in all 16 games so Denver was 50 % at holding those 2 teams below what they ave VS all other teams, not overly impressive.
But 4 games is a small sample size and passing efficiency will likely play a bigger role in who wins on sunday and the no.1 defense there, yep it's Carolina .
Panthers defensive passer rating in playoffs ave of 67.65 per game
Broncos 75.35
Panthers better in both regular season and playoffs.
Panthers defense players , Seattle no.1 in offensive QBPR and Zona no.6, ave of 3.5
Denver played Pats 4th and Steelers 14th, ave of 9.
The info seems to suggest we can throw strength of schedule out the window since Carolina played the better offenses and played them better then Denver played lesser offenses.
Carolina seems to have proven strength of schedule is not an issue with the more impressive play VS better teams in the playoffs.
LOL Carson "TO" Palmer with 4 picks and 2 fumbles. You think Denver is going to give up the ball like that with the best D in the league?

Best D in the league? Why dont you look at how that D did against the teams that ranked in the top half of the league in offense? Keep in mind, its only 5 games so it wont take you long

I was quite clear on this and the players have pretty much said the same thing.
Rush 4
Spy 1
Cover 6
Double Olsen
Single the rest and pray you don't get beat deep a lot.
I do predict they give up a big score, hopefully not 2 or more.
Do know that this year Denver has started many games in generic zone before showing their true game plan. I would not be surprised if they do that again.
