Working at a local McDonald's to make minimum wage always brings in positive income and no stress over bad officiating or incomprehensible coaching decisions. We are only contributing to super rich team owners' bankroll to help them buy the next business. Think about how much time we waste on what we think analyzing games, watching them, and discussing what happened in games, not to mention stress and heartburn. If you look at yourself in the mirror after watching stressful games, especially after you lose money, you will notice you aged quickly over those three hours. We have to make a wise choice now. Quitting gambling is the best thing to do. The earlier you quit gambling, the better it is for you.

And sportsbetting should be by no means a source for income; it should be mad money (disposable money) that would not be life changing if you were to lose it. If you find yourself in a profitable position at the end of the season, you buy something nice for yourself or put it towards bills or do whatever the hell you want to do with it. If you find any stress in this activity in the least, it probably isn't for you.

Ummmmm nah dude I think it’s way more fun to do homework and bet games and win some, lose some than it would be to work at McDonald’s. I think betting what you can afford to lose can help with the stress of it, but if ur gettin stressed out and ur wasting time and not gettin shit done and losing more than you can afford to yeah, might be a problem there ??

Exactly right! The "homework" is the best part; diving into box scores, looking at trends, weather, watching replays of games, watching lines. Stress?? There is no stress because this is supposed to be a "FUN" activity. The stress is likely caused when you are losing money that you cannot afford to lose. The suggestion is to have a bankroll; money that is separate from your necessities money and bet a percentage of your bankroll on each game. And keep records....track your wins and losses...keeping track keeps you aware of what you are losing. And the hardest part is this....if you lose your limit...it is time to walk away until you have a bankroll again...could be days, weeks, or months for some. Trust me...we have ALL been there...there is a psychology to this game and it can really mess with you if you don't follow a set of rules for yourself.

Certainly not for the bookies among us or for those associated with the gambling industry...the NFL got a payment of 750 million this year from the legalized gambling industry...just wondering what that payment bought sometimes???

I used McDonald's as an example of low skill, menial service industry job that still pays some money over time than breaking even or losing in sports gambling. The worst part is when bad officiating or coaching decisions with no logic beat your bet. Just as another poster pointed out, why did Miami not kick a field goal to go up by 9 against Steelers?

Are you always making money on sport gambling? Do you have spare time on your hand to watch and follow these games? How far do you need to drive or fly to get to your legal gambling bookie of your choice? For me it takes too long and costly to just to get to the bookie to say I enjoy sports gambling. For me to make sense of sports gambling I need to get compensated for my time and actual cost of getting to the legal bookie, which are a lot. I am not a bad gambler. I just don't make enough money compared to the overall cost of sports gambling. For people who use online bookie or local legalized bookie within a close proximity, sports gambling may be enjoyable, if you have a lot of spare time on your hand. Maybe you are retired and have lots of time to spend on sports gambling. Or you may use illegal online bookie or live in a state, where you can drive to a bookie nearby. Everyone's situation is different. Don't assume that I am a bad gambler just because I am saying the truth for most people.

Don’t watch the games you gamble on. I have no stress when I do that.
People enjoy betting just like people enjoy playing poker. Both usually money losers but fun for the participant. But you can also blow that money at a restaurant or bar. So spend your disposable money wisely.
Or you can work your day job then work at McDonald’s and then don’t spend a penny on anything if that makes you happy and young.
to each his own.
