They are off a tough loss last week in a game they would&#x27;ve won if Charlie Batch was at qb IMO. They still had a chance to win the game and covered against a decent Baltimore team. First let&#x27;s look at the QB comparison. Charlie Batch vs. Brandon WeedenHonestly, if you had the exact same teams except for the Qb position, who would you take to win you one game. A shaky rookie qb or a Veteren, who btw has proven time and time again he can win games when playing for an injured Big Ben. In fact Batch is 5-2 as a starter over the last 10 years when filling in for Big Ben. He knows how to manage the game and he will let the defense put him in positions to be successfull tmrw. This will be Weedens first time facing the Steelers defense. Look for a couple of int when he sees these crazy blitz and zone packages the Steelers are going to throw at him. He&#x27;s still a rookie and has proven that by not getting the job done late in games this year. It&#x27;s only going to get harder against one of, if not the best defense in the NFL, especially over the last 5 weeks or so. Cleveland&#x27;s  only major offensive threat is the rookie Rb Richardson. I don&#x27;t expect him to have much success tho. The Steelers will make Weeden beat them. Plus the steelers are one of the best in the league at stopping the run. Batch is a student of the game, he&#x27;s been in this position many times over. This time he gets a pretty easy task in going up against the Browns. He knows as long as he manages the game and doesn&#x27;t turn it over, the Steelers will win. Look for Todd Haley to give Batch easy reads and lots of Play action. Quick throws are the focal point of this offense, and Batch is more than capable of winning game. Steelers defense will dominate in this one. Lay the small chalk. Steelers win 23-9

$500 New Orleans Saints &#x2B;1It doesn&#x27;t matter who starts at qb for the 49ers. I&#x27;m taking the Saints because they are getting a point at home. I wouldn&#x27;t mind seeing the rookie start for San Fran tho, because it&#x27;s going to be a whole different set of circumstances going into this game. He will have to worry about crowd noise, and although the Saints let up yards, they are very good at sending multiple looks and causing turnovers. Against a rookie they will be licking their chops. The Saints at home are a very difficult team to beat. Especially in the midst comeback of their season, Winning 5 of the last 6. The 49ers won&#x27;t be going up against the Bears offensive line or Jason Campbell either. Drew Brees is one of the best and he has many targets that can beat a defense. Bree&#x27;s also gets back one of his most reliable playmakers in Darren Sproles. The Saints have also started to establish a running game in their last couple games. Bottom line is I don&#x27;t think the 49ers will be able to match the intensity they had last week, or that of the Saints. The Saints need this game to stay alive in the wild card race. I&#x27;m guessing a decent amount of points will be scored since we have Drew Bree&#x27;s playing and a Saints defense that isn&#x27;t very good. That is the main reason preventing this from being a bigger play. Saints win 34-27

$500 St. Louis Rams &#x2B;1.5Disappointing loss for the Rams last week, and prolly a big reason why this line is the way it is, that and the Cardinals almost getting a W at the Falcons. Don&#x27;t fool yourself tho, the Rams are the better overall team. The Cardinals are starting their 3rd string Qb today. He did horrible against a weak Falcons Secondary last week. That&#x27;s not going to change this week. Mainly because he won&#x27;t have much time or a running game. The Cardinals offensive line isn&#x27;t very good, and it&#x27;s one of the major reason this team has been on a downward spiral. The Rams racked up 8-9 sacks the last time these two faced off, a game that resulted in a 17-3 Rams win. The Rams were playing well offensively in the early going in that game until Amendola was injured early. Well he&#x27;s back know and he&#x27;s one of Bradford favorite targets. Both teams will prolly struggle keeping drives alive and converting on 3rd downs, but I give an edge to the Rams because of Qb play. Rams win 19-13$500 Jaguars &#x2B;4This is Henne last chance to prove he can be a starter in the NFL. What better way than against a bad titans defense. Other than a win against the Dolphins a couple weeks ago, the Titans haven&#x27;t been much more impressive than the Jags in all honestly. Bad teams like the titans shouldn&#x27;t be laying 4 points on the road in the NFL. Jags win 27-24$1000 Giants -2.5More analysis on this game later. Get the line at -2.5 now. First of all, good luck with your picks tomorrow and your reasoning might be right but... Let me ask you a question... if you owned a sportsbook what line would you put on the browns/steelers game?

I look at that Pitts -1 and a siren goes off in my mind. Does that line look suspicious to you? Almost like they are begging you to take Pittsburgh.

I would put it at Pitt -3/3.5 most likely. People would be on the Browns more heavily at that point. Especially at 3.5 and at home. Sometimes the public is right, sometime they are wrong.

Also you have to look that some teams will always get bet by the general public no matter what line it is, so this makes it look like Vegas would want you to take it. But the general public isn't smart enough. They don't know when it's too good to be true, or of its actually just off and they overthink it. Today I think it's a case of overthinking it. Pitt should win this pretty easily, although I don't see a blowout. Just a methodical W.

I&#x27;m not huge on totals train so u prolly have better insight into totals plays. I would think it goes over. Turnovers could really help or hurt the point total tho. Both teams have pretty good kickers too. That could play a small role with it being a pretty low total. Like I said tho I tend to stay away from totals. I wouldn&#x27;t be betting the over in that game tho that&#x27;s for sure.

As for the Oakland game, I&#x27;m actually a huge Raider fan and I have faded them the last two weeks, both times for a Max Bet. They were 6 point dogs I at Bmore and only got 4.5 at home last week. Being a Raider fan and watching this team very closely, I feel like this is a spot in which we may surprise some people. Cincy doesnt have the best defense and may take this game more lightly than they should. The Raiders may score enough to keep within this line. If it was a 6 point line I would take the Bengals, but I could see them staying within a TD. The Raiders also get back some defensive starters that they&#x27;ve been missing the last couple weeks, including Seymour, a defensive leader for us. Then again it wouldn&#x27;t surprise me if the Raiders lose by 20 again. It&#x27;s a no play for me tho. I did however select the Raiders in my weekly Pick em Pool. What&#x27;s the line on Bears game? Not up in my book.

What do you think about Denver game against KC? Denver has won five games straight. Do you see a let down here? But it&#x27;s KC. Their only offense is their RB, Charles. I think the Broncos are smart enough to stop the run and challenge their QB to beat them. Quinn is starting and he&#x27;s also predicted to struggle against red hot Broncos D.

Another reason why the line for pitt/cle is that low is due to it being a rivalry game...also, the new regime for the browns have ties with the steelers and will encourage this team to try to win out..
