Manipulate doesn’t necessarily mean “rigged” in the sense most people think. It just means having control/influence over the outcome when/if the opportunity presents itself, especially in a tight contest. The Lakers have been getting favorable officiating for years in NBA, doesn’t necessarily/automatically make them champs. The team still has to be good to take advantage. Look at free throw disparity the Lakers enjoy over the rest of the NBA. It’s only good enough to make them a middling team.

My understanding chip in the football can be used to decide close calls is not under consideration this year

What you and most of the other fools fail to realize is that a 9 point outcome was one of the WORST possible outcomes for the books in that game. If I hear “Vegas called” one more time from someone who knows nothing about how sports books actually work or what the handle on the game is at different numbers, my head will explode.
