it's wild to me that tennis has this kind of technology to rule a ball in or out (at blazing speeds!) but the NFL every single week continues to allow refs to ruin calls and sometimes even games.
You mean to tell me that the NFL can't figure out a way to do this? Or putting a chip on the ball?
Thoughts?

They don’t want it! They want to be able to manipulate outcomes. It’s not that hard to figure out.

Just like in life. Rules are designed to be exploited not followed
Not saying all but look at traffic laws. You think they give 2 shits about you? You think they care if you wear a seatbelt have a front plate go 10 over the limit drive a car pumping smog like no tomorrow ect ect
No! It generates money!
It’s a business just like sports
They use “rules” to be exploited to there advantage not to protect players
There so concerned about cramming 3 games in 10 days
There so concerned about getting every streaming service possible to watch games
They found loopholes to have nfl games on Saturdays now
They don’t give two shits!
real simple! If it don’t make dollars it doesn’t make sense

Manipulate doesn’t necessarily mean “rigged” in the sense most people think. It just means having control/influence over the outcome when/if the opportunity presents itself, especially in a tight contest. The Lakers have been getting favorable officiating for years in NBA, doesn’t necessarily/automatically make them champs. The team still has to be good to take advantage. Look at free throw disparity the Lakers enjoy over the rest of the NBA. It’s only good enough to make them a middling team.

Having exact markers henders them from controlling outcomes (whatever that may be)
The all mighty Chiefs & there elite coaching staff rug pulled every in the divisional round taking a safety with 12 seconds left to make sure the final score lands on the Magic #! Which was 9
No need to even hide anything anymore
We drove to KC for the Texans game & there was quite a few very miserable Chief “fans” after the game
They either pushed or got a bad line of -9.5
They got rug pulled by the team they adore beyond classic

pay no mind that it was 100% the right move to make to take the blocked punt out of the equation... Thus making it a 100% win instead of 99.5%.. .5% you say... Call me crazy I like 100%... But hey do not let facts crumbled your tin foil hat..

How about, as Boomer Esiason said today, you have overweight officials slowing up no huddle offenses by standing over the spot of the ball. That gives the D time to line up…

My understanding chip in the football can be used to decide close calls is not under consideration this year
possible in the future meaning not earlier than next year has to be approved in the off-season by NFL committee. Like what the feedback are saying, Officials may want to control game outcome??

@ArtSchlichterJr They were up 11 with 12 seconds left wtf are you talking about? It was plan as day the magic # was 9 Line open at -8.5 floated around went to -9 then -9.5 some books So block punt then score a TD what’s that take? 7-9 seconds Then on side kick recover So one final miracle with 2 seconds left How many bands would have to come onto Arrowhead
Hence your .5 to 100%... Possible not ever ever happening but you know what.. Why ?.. In fact most coaches not smart as Andy would have risked a blocked punt.. Teams used to not knell on it to Joe P.. from the Giants changed that.. What were the odds there..

What you and most of the other fools fail to realize is that a 9 point outcome was one of the WORST possible outcomes for the books in that game. If I hear “Vegas called” one more time from someone who knows nothing about how sports books actually work or what the handle on the game is at different numbers, my head will explode.
I can’t tell you how many phone calls and texts I got after that game…”and you’re saying it’s not rigged?!?”
No you idiots! Every person with a 9 point bet gets a push= no money for “Vegas”. Every person with KC -8/8.5/9=winner/push.
Every person with HOU +9/9.5 =winner/push.

Dude I’m not gonna give you much of a response because you can do your own homework. Do a little research and you’ll find out how much “Vegas” liked that outcome.
When the line moved from 8.5 to 9, where do you think the majority of that money was? When the line moved from 9 to 9.5, how much “respected, sharp,…” whatever you want to call it money was coming on KC -9.5? Good luck to you sir.
