In one of the coldest weather games in the history of the NFL or any outdoor sports, AR did his job and had his team in a dominating winning position...then the blocked punt happened...their D held Garrapolo to basically nothing...if it's clowns you want to talk about, loom in the mirror after your mom bathes you tomorrow

Would you rather have had Jimmy G in that game? Would you rather have had Jimmy G the past couple of years? Jacoby Brissett? Nathan Peterman? I know you're creaming yourselves over a 40 year old walking pick 6 with coming off of surgery, because you are probably a bot that is part of a web optimization firm's push to make "Pickzpatrick to Green Bay" trend but if you are in fact human, and just a g@y male, those are the QBs that are out there. Deshaun Watson? Case Keenum?
You have been incredibly spoiled. And like most spoiled individuals, you don't even realize it because you take certain blessings for granted. Do you think Buffalo fans wouldn't be happy with Rodgers' one ring? You think Browns fans wouldn't be happy to just be in the hunt every year? Aaron Rodgers has come up short in big moments but it is the team itself that has been a failure. Inept coaches, inept GMs, being hamstrung by the ridiculous ownership structure. The fact that Green Bay isn't a huge free agent destination because, well, it's Green Bay. Rodgers has drug that team kicking and screaming. I hope you get your wish. See how the other half lives.

Let’s take a look at how many times the Green Bay Packers won games against teams with a winning record with Aaron Rodgers as their starting quarterback.
I started to dive into this stat for every quarterback because the new hot argument is to say that a certain quarterback didn’t beat anyone good. I often see people use this argument to say players like Kirk Cousins and Matthew Stafford are not good and just put up empty stats.
First off and most importantly, quarterback wins are a team statistic. Secondly, very few quarterbacks in the NFL have a winning record against teams who finished the season above .500 in the league.
Since entering the NFL in 2005, Aaron Rodgers is 36-43-1 (.456) against teams that finished the season with a winning record.
There are currently 6 active NFL quarterbacks with winning records against winning teams.
You can digest that information on your own. The only thing I want you to take away from this is that it is extremely rare to have a winning record against teams that finished the season with a winning record.
Since entering the NFL in 2000, Tom Brady is 74-47 (.611) against teams that finished the season with a winning record.

I understand the frustration with Rodgers. He is an all-time talent. Maybe the best physical talent ever. However, I understand he does not win the big games against the good teams. But of the QBs that do that are left -- Jimmy Garoppolo or Russell Wilson would be the only ones Green Bay could get if they wanted. Big Ben and Brady are gone. Green Bay should not want Lamar Jackson and Kansas City would keep Patrick Mahomes even over Rodgers.
But the point I want to really make here is that Rodgers is the very next QB on the list that is below .500 against winning teams -- 7th on the list and two have just retired. So, the only good thing if you traded him for anyone, is the money you would save. A lot of people have issues with Garoppolo. Sure, he is a proven winner and has the intangible things that Rodgers does not appear to have, but would that be the direction you want to go with an elite team that very easily should compete for a SuperBowl next year? Certainly, I like Fitzpatrick -- but at no point would I consider swapping him for Rodgers. Fitzpatrick is gutsy -- but does not have the intangibles of Garoppolo, or it would seem Joe Burrow.

Couple of other quick things. Rodgers I think has a winning record against winning teams lately. For example, 5-2 last year -- I think.
But he has turned around his career road record -- it used to be a losing record I think. It is now 56-51.
For comparison Brady road record is 110-50. Garoppolo is 24-8. Fitzpatrick is 30-55.
So, I am not sure you should really be that upset with Rodgers. It is just frustrating, in any sport, to see immense talent not translate to championship wins. But coaching, GMs, defense, O-Line, other offensive skill positions -- all of these are a key part.

Fair enough. I’m just pointing out that you really only have one or two proven guys that would be worth taking a chance on. Fitzpatrick is simply not one of them.
Simply look at Fitzpatrick’s record in big games, games he should win, games where he had to come from behind, etc. He is by no means an upgrade in any situation; you simply save money.
With a little tweaking, Green Bay is the favorite to go to the Super Bowl. They are the best team in the NFC, with Rodgers; without him, they are not.
As much as Rodgers wants another SB To solidify his status — GB should work with him and add some talent that is needed. Because you know he has the drive and desire and talent.
You could make a way better case for Jimmy G or Russell than Fitzpatrick — if Rodgers really wants to leave.

No problem. I understand. I’m just saying that you are opting for an older guy that has never been to a playoff game and is injury-prone.
At least Rodgers has you very close every year.
Why would you pick Fitzpatrick as your go-to guy instead of, let’s say, Jimmy G? Rodgers might be okay with that deal, even though he would be going to a lesser team.
Why not go with your backup? He isn’t that bad and I just am not sure he would do any better at studying under Fitzpatrick instead of Rodgers — if you don’t think he is ready.
I would figure Rodgers for 3 more wins than Fitzpatrick — and I am not so sure that would really win that division for you. At least Rodgers has shown he CAN win in the playoffs.
People have to realize that every QB is not Brady. Very, very few good (even great) QBs will win a Super Bowl — let alone multiple SBs.
Both Mannings are very lucky to have two. Big Ben was very lucky to get one of his. The odds are Josh Allen will never win a SB. The odds are that Mahomes and the Chiefs have peaked and will never win another SB. With today’s NFL it is too hard to keep everything intact enough to win year in and year out.
Green Bay was very lucky to have Rodgers to replace Favre — like San Francisco was with Young and Garcia behind Montana.
I get your frustration with being so close. But Brady and Bucs were hot last year. Jimmy G and SF played away from home, with no pressure, in not-so-ideal weather. That weather helped SF way, way more than GB. Imagine if they had played in SF. Sure SF offense would have been better — but GB offense would have been WAY better. But it is what it is.
No matter. You should hang onto Rodgers — you are unlikely to get another superstar QB.
But we will agree to disagree on this.

I would bet you $1000 that the Packers won't make the SB for a decade after Rodgers leaves. Going with Fitzpatrick that division suddenly tightens.

You emphasized that the regular season doesn't matter. The reason it hasn't mattered is Aaron Rodgers performance. Without him all of a sudden the regular season does matter.
