anybody trained as a lie-detector will tell you that Ray Lewis was lying during the press conference in his response to questions about using the SWATS deer spray...

it's a 100% certainty that Ray Lewis took that spray... well, either that or he is lying for no reason at all... you be the judge... but those are the only two choices!

unfortunately it doesn't matter.  I mean, so he was taking the banned substance, is he going to be suspended?  Probably not.  If this was MLB he'd be yanked from the World Series before the press conference could even begin.

oh i tend to agree... this isn't going to change Lewis' status for this game, and might not change his status for any games... but it certainly should change this "holier than thou" image that people have of him...


your point brought up another point: Ray Lewis and the Ravens have made such a big deal about the fact that Ray Lewis has never tested positive in any drug test he's taken for the NFL...

anyone ever here of a guy named Lance Armstrong?  how is it that this story has now blown up on Lance Armstrong... but somehow it STILL MATTERS IF AN ATHLETE PASSES A DRUG TEST?


is nobody friggin reading the details of the Lance Armstrong story?



let me tell you something about drug tests in sports... they are officially USELESS!!!!  Lance Armstrong PROVED THAT beyond a shadow of a doubt...


the fact that an athlete passes a drug test today carries exactly ZERO weight!

Good to know when I need to know an expert opinion about lie detector and drug tests to come to you.

I think I've read this site for 5 years and have yet to see a positive type post from you.  Hopefully you are a lot happier in life than you portray on this forum.

I agree he's lying. 

But the main thing to me is does it affect his head,  or his players heads, on Sunday. 

Only bad things can come from this.  I don't think the general public cares about this or pays much attention, so it's an angle to explore IMO.

Who cares if he used some spray. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Nothing you or the Nfl can do about it now. He will win Sunday and retire and who knows make millions in a few years on a book deal about it. I freaking love it.

Armstrong is known as a role model and clean cut guy in a sport that also has a clean image.  Not sure I would say the same about Ray Lewis.

Also, I would venture a guess that Armstrong would have never gotten anywhere that he has if it wasn't for the drugs.

You realize that if you tell most people you gamble on sports, they'll wonder about your own morals?   The vast majority would think of us as degenerate pigs, not worthy of their time.

So save the b s morality threads please. Or take it somewhere else.

Only thing that matters, to me, is cashing.  That's it.  If I don't, I'm upset, and not about Ray Lewis and some deer antler dust.

agree with both statements... regarding #1, i think it is difficult to know for sure if it becomes a distraction... too much of a guessing game trying to cap based on something like that... would agree it seems it is far more likely to be a bad thing than a good thing...

but to elaborate on your "only bad things can come from this" point...

at what point should Ravens backers be concerned about karma?  have you guys seen this story?  i mean, if this does not just encapsulate the low-ball mentality of most Ravens backers, i don't know what does... check out what this scumbag Ravens fan did... and note the fact that the people he tried to scam will be at the Super Bowl rooting for their team, while he will not...

well i'm not so worried about that ticket scam, but like u said bad karma

i do believe in a subconscious.  most likely nobody in the ravens locker room, including ray, would say it affects them.

BUT...maybe it does, in the back of their minds.

as i said finding more reasons to go w/the 9ers

Well I am very sure my Logic holds up very well with yours.

I didn't know a court is considered a realm of higher thinking. People do not go to court to think.  Its a place were decisions are made.  Thinking is done by your subconscious mind....maybe you will learn to control yours one day.

You obviously don't know much about cycling. It's the filthiest sport out there, afetr they vacated Lance's victories, there was noone to give the awards to, all others who finished close, were also already banned for substance abuse. It's a joke......
