Gaints VS San Fran analysis

  I will be a little biased  considering I am a Giants fan but will do my best to say what i see.
To be honest dont know allot about San Fran. I first took notice when they beat Philadelphia in the come back game in the game which I thought took allot of heart. Obviously the better a team plays the more you notice them.
  Both teams have stellar defense and that's why they are both here.
   For each team to win they need to turn over the ball both teams did great last game at doing that. I think the one that turns over the ball more will win.
  For the Giants to win they have to be able to run it at least some what effectively and as much as I like Jacobs and Bradshaw. They have not been as good as I would like to see them be. This does worry me. We all know Gore is a monster and will be a tough cookie to deal with he might get over 100 yrds.But if they stop him the niners will have a tough time moving the ball.  
   The Niners need to be able to pass it I like the Giants chances here. Alex Smith is pretty good but I think if the Giants rattle him like they have other quarterbacks he will make mistakes maybe cause a fumble or strip it from him. They will have to pressure him and get him out of sink. The niners receivers out of Davis who is a monster last game and a beast this year. I am not impressed with the rest of the receivers. Will have a hard time if the receivers step up the Giants will be playing from behind the whole game.
   The Giants if the run game can do something this will open are very under rated receiving (until now) corp. Ballard is not great but a cheap Boss who will get you a first down, decided to leave for more money and leave the Giants hanging.
Nicks and Cruz speak for themselves even Manningham when on is a good receiver. 
 The niner have great defensive line and will bring the heat as well  and if the O line can give manning sometime the receivers will get open. I believe the Niners have a pretty good corners backs so
we will see what they will do. 
  The achilles heal for each team i see is the giants running verses a defensive line on the niners who will look to completely shut down the run and for the niners the receiving corps who besides Davis.
Dont have much. I havent been impressed with Crabtree a guy who sat out for a big contract and hasnt earned his paycheck. But niners fan know much more than i do on this guy. Now watch him do 150 yards on us lol.  The receivers will have to get open fast    
as the Giants linebackers get to the quaterback  fast. Smith will not get two looks to often. Either one of  the receiver gets open or he doesnt. 
 Really it is about who makes less mistakes if the Giants can grab the lead the the front 4 will put allot of pressure on Smith if they are playing from behind like last game than San Fran will have more confidence and possibly force the Giants to do things they dont want to do.
 I hope the Giants win not so much because i dont like the Niners I have great respect for them it will be a great game and everyone will be hyped about their teams winning and going to the big game. But because everyone hates Eli and says he cant win big games. The guy may have a low key attitude and not get very emotional and of course having the Manning name on his back  automatically puts an bull eye on his back.
He has really come into his own this year and even if he doesnt win the superbowl this year just what he did this year with losing his whole receiving corp and working with a new one is incredible.
Sure you can say Brady and Rothlisburger won more super bowls
very true. But how many quaterbacks in the NFL come and go have all these stats and still have no ring. The NFL is not easy to win one super bowl because it is so extremely competitive. Besides  he beat Brady and he just beat a 16-1  team in a great quaterback in Rogers. So I say four more good years this man makes the HOF
He played more games in a row than nay other quarterback in the NFL.  I hope he wins just to get out of his brothers shadow alone.
Maybe he will get to the superbowl and lose like his brother did on his second try but even getting there on a 7 and 7 team is not easy.
 So everyone who hates him get of his back someone has to defend him and I will be one of them.        
   I hope this is like 4 years ago it seems like this is the way it is going so far knock on wood.

this team has something most of the other teams dont have - heart and in sports that gets you a damn long way when you also have talent to boot

49ers dont have a heart like the G-MEN but they do have more balls so this makes for a great game

in the NFL i say it over and over again the team that gets hot at the right time regardless of the record is a major shot at going all the way

firstly i bet 2 teams quite big a few weeks ago all at awesome odds - quality teams underperforming but with the potential to go all the way

FALCONS 19/1 for the NFC 

GIANTS 31/1 for the NFC ??

 

imo if this game is played 10 times the giants win 7

i will be backing the 49ers not because i think they will win but because they have a chance and i simply cant risk that much money when i am able to just take 2/3rds of the potential win (g-men) and also guarantee a nice collect should the 49ers win

if i did not have money already invested i would back the giants with the FG start because if the 49ers win it may be really close

Should be a close game, when teams get this deep in the playoffs, the run games usually not a factore, don't see either team having success. It's basically who wins the turn over battle.

 

 

Let me provide an objective view since I am not from or root for either of the teams. I'll speak on the bold topics.

1.) Giants have more heart??? Really? Looked like Vernon Davis was crying after he caught that TD pass. Alex Smith and many of these Niners have got tormented for years. They are a tough, resilient team with all kinds of heart, probably more than a team that has many players who have already won a super bowl.

2.) You can't say either team is more hot than the other as 49 beat a red hot team many predicted to win it all and NY beat the Super Bowl Champs and won big in another playoff game. Likely a push here.

3.) If they played 10 times, the giants would win 7? That's weird since they are 0-1 this year. So they would be able to beat them 7 out of 9 times? LOL. This team lost to the Redskins. Enough said.

the giants often play up or down to the level of competition

oye dumbass when was the 49ers game - like 2 months ago  thats a lifetime ago in the NFL

7/10 is based on NOW not a month ago and not at the start of the season NOW - odds change or dont you have the brainpower to understand that :

i'm a believer in the 49ers but imo the QB difference is just to great (eg 49ers overcame this VS saints but how many out of 10 would the 49ers win, 4/10 was my guess)

giants have scored 24 points or more in 7 of their last 8 games played (in 9 road games this year e.manning has thrown 18 TD's and 8 INT - at home he is 17 TD and 9 INT)

manning threw 3 picks VS the redskins in the giants last loss now you thinks thats gonna happen again ?

last 4 games (all wins) e.manning 10 TD's and 2 INT's

e.manning has thrown over 222 yards in every game this season and over 300 yards 9 times  

last 4 games (4 wins) a.smith 5 TD's and 0 INT

a.smith has only thrown over 200 yards in a game 8 times this season and 0 times over 300 yards

 

49ers getting 5 turnovers again this week  - i'd like to see that - well actually no i wouldnt i just dont like the odds of it happening

eg + 4 turnover diff VS saints and 49ers (how often does that happen?) only just win by 4 points to an average road team - now you gotta like the giants chances for several reasons

All I know is how quickly a game can change with a single play.

The Saints marched right down the field with moving the chains with ease on their opening drive inside the SF 5 yard line and looked like Pier Thomas was gonna run right into pay dirt for the 6 but then....

BOOM!!!  donte witner smashes him at the goal line, the ball is knocked out, Pier Thomas is knocked out, no td for the Saints and SF recovers.

That set the tone for the game and was a huge momentum swing for the 49's....

i wish i had that sort of coin on the giants

hey guys should i bet the giants head to head - or buy 1 point as the line is 2.5 and make it +3.5?

i am confident in the giants either way

i also think giants win 7/10 but would 1 of those 3 losses be by 3 points? and is it worth the juice/

 

i do however agree with mr.insight, the 49ers have heart alright - just because a team wins the superbowl dosent mean all these fantasies all of a sudden appear 

 

Although I like the Niners in this game I find it hard to see them not having some type of hangover effect from that win. It was exhausting to watch for christs sakes let alone play in. It seemed like the Giants had a much easier tuime beating green bay. They are battle tested on the road and it should be a close one.

The kicking game is huge in this one. Tynes is just horrible and THAT may be their achilles heal. I'm a Pats fan I sure as hell dont want the Giants again in the Super bowl.
