GucciCapper likes to motorboat so therefore GucciCapper will be supporting River Boat Ron and the Panthers today. GucciCapper expects this to be moving back and fourth all morning, so GucciCapper recommends waiting for the +7.5 if your book does not have it yet. +7 should also work, but getting the hook is definitely smarter in this situation for obvious reasons.
GucciCapper recommends pounding this play in the morning. GucciCapper will most likely have another play for either the afternoon card or the night game. Goodluck boys!
Why are we supporting the Panthers today boys? For many reasons.
1) The Panthers have lost 7 in a row after starting the season 6-2. GucciCapper's big play last week was the Falcons against the Panthers, and though it worked easily when you dig deeper into the game the Panthers had many opportunities to win that game. Panthers had 29 first downs, 436 total yards of offense, controlled the ball for 37 1/2 minutes but unfortunately (well fortunate GucciCapper last week) had 4 big turnovers. Heinicke looked horrible but Kyle Allen looked quite amazing going 4/4 filling in for a series when Heinicke was getting his elbow popped back in.
2) GucciCapper expects Kyle Allen to be fired up and expects him to have a decent game on the road against a Saints team that has absolutely nothing to play for. This is Kyle Allen's moment, not Teddy Bridgewaters.
3) This will be the end of the line for many Panthers players today. Ryan Kalil is retiring and also Julius Peppers and Thomas Davis Sr. are probably on their way out to retirement. River Boat Ron has said multiple times that he wants to send his player's out on a high note. GucciCapper expects the team to be motivated defensively and should come out with some high emotion.
4) The Saints will be resting EVERYONE in GucciCapper's opinion. There is no reason that Kamara, Michael Thomas, Ted Ginn or anyone important on defense should be playing this game. This will be a practice for the Saints team. Get through the game with no injuries.
5) Teddy Bridgewater is making his first start in 3 years. GucciCapper expects him to be very pedestrian today with the Saints not tipping their hand for the playoffs. Expect many three and outs and a lot of running the clock. GucciCapper does expect a few nice plays for Teddy but also a few turnovers.
6) When the Saints won the Superbowl in 2009 they were 13-0. They finished the year 13-3 with losses to Tampa Bay, Dallas and the Panthers. How odd is that? This year they have lost to Tampa Bay and Dallas. Expect them to lose this game outright and have the same exact record and situation as they did in 2009.
Everything is pointing to a Panthers cover and possible outright win. There is no motivation here for the Saints. All the motivation for River Boat Ron and the Panthers to finish their season on a winning note. No team wants to lose 8 in a row to end the season.
