I know all about the QB situation in the Patriots camp. I also know about Gronk to be fit to play. Garropollo is out and Brisset is in. Does it say that the Patriots are weakened against Osweiler and the Texans? I don't think so. Belichick has already prepared his team to defend against Osweiler and the Broncos last season. No matter that Peyton Manning was the one to deal with at the end. And the Texans don't even know who to prepare to play against. We'are always at the hands of the Patriots as usual. If they decide to win - they will. And, with so much early money on the Texans (8 dollars against every dollar on the Pats) being on Houston as the money that does not decide the outcomes but an unbalanced money - I do not see any other scenario than the Pats winning. Interestingly enough - the odds makers and the books did not expect the betting to go the way it did as the line was pretty attractive to go with the Patriots.
On another angle - O'Brien - the Texans head coach - was Belichick's offensive coordinator before leaving for a head coach job at Penn State. The Texans defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel was a defensive coordinator in New England. Linebackers coach Mike Vrabel played for the Patriots. The Texans' nose tackle Vince Wilfork, also played for the Patriots. And, knowing Belichick - he loves to beat his former players and the coaches under him. That is his reputation. That is why he is so adamant IMO and nervous before this game still keeping the QB position under misty clouds.
