The numbers don't lie. If you've ever watched McNabb in a live game, try and make an accurate pass to a reciever enroute, he either sails it over his head, or bounces it at the defenders feet in front of him.
McNabb does deserve some credit for his accomplishments. He has one of the best win pct. of any QB ever o play the position. BUT he's not even a half decent QB when it comes to the prototypical passer. He's inaccurate as hell in games/pressure situation. He relied on his legs, strength, defense, backfield recievers, and system to get to where he is today. If him and Tom Brady would have been put into one anothers shoes to start their careers, McNabb may of never seen the field in NE, but Brady sure as hell would of bettered McNabbs career as an Eagle.
Is this a comparison of Romo vs McNabb or Brady vs McNabb.
Dont think anyone is disputing Brady over McNabb here.

Sport, "if" McNAbb throws one less pick vs the Pats in the SB, we aren't even having this argument. Thanks for "your 2 cents".
Face facts, Romo spit the bit, McNAbb threw the INTS. Simple as that. That is what makes them so comparable to some.
I find it funny we are debating between a playoff winner and kid who's better known for who he's bangin and where he's bangin' her than what he does on the football field.
funny thing is MCnabb is a QB, so is Tony romo.
mcnabb knocked for throwing int's in the superbowl [makes sense no?] romo knocked for botching a hold.[ NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS ABILITY TO QUARTERBACK A TEAM!]
not sure how you can compare the two but ok.
thats like saying greg maddux is a better pitcher than ________ and one of your main points is that maddux struck out when he was brought in to pinch - hit. lets be realistic. if you would honestly want mcnabb over romo i feel bad for you.

These arguements are fun. Nobody is right or wrong and stats can be very very decieving. Football people that have played the QB position...High school or college, I believe know a good QB when they see one. I am not a McNabb or Romo fan, but I will say if I was a GM and had to pick one of them to go into a season with I would go with McNabb in a second. McNabb haters say without Westbrook he is nothing. And Romo haters (Including me) say without a pass catching tight end and a two running back system (im not even bringing up one of the best recivers in the league that he has) He wouldnt be anything either. I think that stats are so decieving when it comes to looking at at QB. Ok, Romo broke so many Dallas records last year, but are those people bringing that up saying that if they had to go into a season with Troy Aikman or Tony Romo they would take Romo??? Because that is rediculous. I am a Carson Palmer fanatic and lifelong Bengals fan, and I believe that if you throw a true passing QB in any one of these systems (esp. Dallas) both teams would be better off. McNabb is older and has had a much longer career and you know or knew what you were getting with him everytime he takes the field. Romo is so early in his career (even though he is going into his 6th season) You honestly cannot judge a player based on 1 1/2 yaers of playing time. Look at Kurt Warner he had 2 seasons where he was playing at a level in the same conversation as some of the best QB's ever. And now he is nothing or a solid back-up or whatever you want to call him. I see so many comaprisons with those two Qb's. Romo is much more athletic, but he still managed to get sacked 20 something times last season (which compares to Warner) Jason Whitten last season led Dallas in catches by a good size margin (even though they have probably the second best reciever in the NFL behind Moss) I have not checked, but I wish I knew and I may be wrong, but I would like to know how many balls each tight end in the league got thrown too, and I would bet that Romo threw more balls to Whitten that anyother QB-TE in the league. (Perhaps maybe Tony G. had more thrown to because he is probably the best catching TE to ever play the game) Romo in my opinion is a check down QB who is a product of the system that Jason Garret created for him. McNabb has a great RB who can catch balls but does not have half of the weapons that Romo has and if McNabb can stay healthy for a season he can be one of the best QB's in the league.

Romo because he's young and has more weapons at his disposal. He just needs to get a taste of a playoffs victory. McNabb is on the decline, getting old and getting injured far too often. I'd be surprised if he plays over 10 games.

Romo is surrounded by talent...on both sides of the ball if Adam Jones is reinstated. McNabb is going to metaphorically choke on the field and literally choke with every bite of Chunky Soup.
Tony Romo and the Cowboys will have a great year!

Im a cowboy fan so you know who im gonna pick but you have to realize ROMO has been a starter for less than 2 years this is the year he breaks out and the boys go to the superbowl ROMO

I think somone in a different thread said that Romo never won a playoff game in college (0-3) and in two of those games his team was the favorite. Someone told me his senior year in high school his team had a losing record and didn't make the playoffs. Does anyone know if he has ever won a playoff game in his life? I would be willing to bet that 80% of the starting Qb's in the NFL won state championships in high school and this guy never made the playoffs. None of this really matters, but it just makes for good interesting conversation.

Back in the mix fellas! Had a great weekend...partied in Tempe with the Co-eds at The Tavern on Saturday night and followed that up with my first visit to Chase Field Sunday afternoon. The first 8 innings sucked! Webb was absolutely dominant, BUT, I told the Diamondbacks fans around that they better hope he goes 9 innings or they're in trouble.....and I was EXACTLY right! 4-1 D-Backs going to the 9th... My Dodgers rallied beautifully with a 5 spot in the top of the 9th off that worthless closer Brandon Lyon capped by my favorite player Matt Kemp doubling in the tying run with the Dodgers down to their last strike. They then got two more clutch hits to take a 6-4 lead and hold on for a 6-5 win! There were plenty of Dodgers fans in the building and we were going crazy in the top of the 9th...it was epic!
If anybody ever has an opportunity, I would highly recommend checking out a game at Chase Field...amazing ballpark! I sat on the 1st base side behing the Dodgers dugout, but, I walked around before the game and I was standing behing the outfield seats and it felt like I was standing in the outfield...not a bad seat in the park! It felt so close to the diamond... And 100 degrees outside??? No problem, the AC had it 76 inside!
Anyway, it was a nice weekend...
UPDATE:
ROMO 34
McNABB 22

McNabb all day. He is a proven vet, unlike Romo who'd rather spend the weekend out of the country b4 a playoff game with what's her face rather than focus on the task at hand. Don't get me wrong, she's got it but playoff time is exactly that, playoffs.
