Am I missing something here? They play Tennessee twice, already hold a better division record, and play Tampa Bay in between while Tennessee gets New Orleans. In almost all scenarios all the Texans have to do is win 1/2 against the Titans and they win the division. The line for Houston to make the playoffs is around -300... if they don't win the division the absolute best they can finish is 9-7 which in most scenarios won't be enough anyway. Already took Houston to win the division large. Might go even bigger. Any thoughts/opinions? I think the books have drastically fucked up here.

Texans bad schedule luck having not gotten titans when they were bad with Mariota. Defense are beat up they don't want to tackle king henry late in the year
Titans are peaking right now. Texans at bucs is not a guaranteed win (you probably never thought broncos would win su either) If you have Houston large bet on titans as a hedge both in the division and on sunday.
titans get it done......again

hope that Texans lose in week 15, then grab the division futures on them. it would be pretty much -110 or +100 instead of laying -150 you wouldnt have to risk more of your bankroll. then hope Texans win the next two. otherwise i would not play it at that price but if you have the dough to lay that much and cannot wait then go for it. i dont recommend it, Texans are that team i dont trust to lay tons of money on.
Texans shot for them to win division:
easy path: beat tampa priority, and split one with titans.
tough path: if they lose to tampa, then must sweep titans.
what they cannot do: let titans sweep them
Titans shot for them to win division:
tough path: beat Saints and sweep Texans. win out
tough path: if they lose to Saints, must sweep Texans.
what they cannot do: lose to Saints and split with texans they'll lose by division record.
simple enough. advantage Texans but still no easy gimmes as far as the Texans are concerned..
Sip on that plus money honey!

if youre confident Texans win this week on the road then why not grab Texans ML +130? that'll be your division futures bet in a way and all they'd have to do is beat Tampa next week and they'll wrap it up then week 17 will be meaningless.
or wait until they lose and then grab division futures at -110/+100. choice is up to you

The way I see it it's very unlikely the Texans lose to the Bucs AND Titans beat the Saints. So its essentially can the Texans at least split with the Titans. Already locked in at -140. If they win this weekend it's almost a lock, if they lose this weekend it'll most likely come down to week 17 where Houston ml will be more than -140 regardless.

If Lock can throw 3 TDs against Houston on the road then Jameis can throw for 4 TDs @ Tampa and probably at least 3 interceptions... Indy has a slightly better D than Houston statswise and Winston threw for 456 yards and 4 TDs and 3 interceptions against them this past week.
Tampa is a dangerous team as they haven't given up for Arians.

Going to be tougher after losing their main weapon in Evans. Plus they probably won't even need that game, I don't see the Titans beating the Saints when they're fighting for a bye.

Just came across this on the ESPN injury reports...
Derrick Henry, who carried 18 times for 103 yards and two TDs and caught one pass for six yards in Sunday's 42-21 win over the Raiders, worked through a hamstring issue during the contest, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Jameis Winston is expected to play through a broken thumb on his throwing hand in Sunday's game against the Lions, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
How can a QB play through a broken thumb on his throwing hand?

Best question I heard all day... How's a qb play with a broken thumb on his throwing hand? Maybe their going to set it as if he's in his throwing motion? wtf?
What's next? The kicker that has broken toes on his kicking foot is good to go in Sunday's matchup?
As far as Houston goes. That coach is an idiot, name a team more inconsistent then them? They do own the early home game Saturday spot on Wildcard Weekend though, which usually ends their season.
Tennessee is on a roll, I almost appreciate your confidence in Houston. Brilliant point above. If you like Houston so much, why wait a month at -140? Bet them each game if you like them so much.

like i said before. if youre feeling confident take Texans ML this week at +130 or wait until Texans lose to Titans this week and get better than -140 on division futures if youre not as confident. youre paying too much you gotta survey the field and anticipate prices
