No matter how I break this game down in my head I do not see how the Raiders don't cover this game. Sure I get that it's a square play and 75% of the public is on the Raiders but i'm tempted to roll big with the public here.
Brock Assweiler couldn't even hit the century mark againt the JAGS! This entire Texans offense is a disaster right now and I don't see them getting it together vs this Raiders defense. This defense has been quietly molding into form as the season progresses despite what story the averages tell. This Raiders defense also boasts one of the best turnover margins in the league.
The Raiders have been road warriors this year while the Texans are the exact opposite. Houston has been nothing short of pathetic in road games this year. Advantage Oakland.
AJ Boyue, one of the only bright spots on this Texan team this year will likely be back come Monday night but is coming off of an injury and will not be 100%.
Would love to hear an angle from anyone backing the Texans

Raiders may win with that margin. But they won 2 Games against teams with a winning Record Denver 10points at Home and Baltimore with 1 Point. Houston is still pretty good even with your Assweiler. And on top we have a neutral site game here.

It all comes down to how motivated the Raiders are. They're clearly the superior team and cover if they put forth max effort. Only concern is coming off a huge division win and a bye in a foreign country. Might just want to get out with a win. Who knows.

5.5 is a lot to lay on a neutral field vs a 6-3 team. Texans are getting much healthier this week too. Their pass defense could give the Raiders problems, I don't think Brock necessarily needs to throw for 300 yards to win this game. Plus, Monday night football big public favorites usually don't go well. Would you lay 9 in Oakland? 3 in Houston? That's what you're saying when you're talking about laying 6 on a neutral spot.
