Go back to school for something that you've always wanted to do. Studying will take your focus off of sports. If you don't want to go back to school, focus on your health. Get a gym membership and hit the gym 4-5 times a week. Last but not least, you'll probably want to stay off of Covers. Good luck.

No man. This isn't an equal comparison. I would say most (90%) of the posters on this board bet games at least 5-6 days a week. That's an addiction. I'm talking about taking a trip down to visit the girls. Maybe 3-5 times a year tops. Yeah if someone went 5-6 days a week that would be an addiction. too. Just quit. Don't do it anymore. Football is almost over anyways. That's the crack of sports betting. If your addicted to those machines and cards that's a whole different story. You got some good advice in there too such as don't follow or look at scores or lines. Definitely recommend that. Otherwise even if you aren't bettting, you will make picks in your head. If they win, you will go 'Oh, I should have been betting my luck is changed.' and inevitably the next pick loses. It's just how it works.
If you bet on your phone, look up gamban. It's an app that will block xxxxxx to gambling sites. It has a 7 day free trial and then you have to pay for it but it's really cheap. Less than the juice on a single bet. For most people 7 days is a long time, so try it and see if you have a healthier bank account and better peace of mind in a week.

Good man. Stick with it. I saved almost 3 grand already not betting. Any time you get an urge like an above poster mentioned you can't watch any sports. I play guitar and the instruments help big time. I bought an audio interface and stick to recording and music and rideshare. Don't give any time to gambling. Go out for a run. Gambling is a mean addiction
