The pats will win because Brady is light years better than most QB's in this game, but to say dumb stuff like Flacco can't light up a weak defense when the numbers and history shows not only can he but HE DOES on a regular basis.

Lets not forget any team winning by 35 or more points in the playoffs are 4-24 ATS the following week........play against the Patriots

take all your stats about past games teams seasons percentages white jersey black jersey rain snow and throw them in the garbage, this is one game with these two teams not any past teams and the better team will win which will be the pats and yes they will cover. you can find a hundred past stats to back every single team every single week, they mean shit. its one matchup between the two teams playing that week and the team that executes better wins plain and simple.

99-00  STL  49  =  STL (nc)  NFC CHAMP
99-00 JACK  62  =  TENN und(out)  AFC CHAMP

98-99  MINN  41  =  ATL und(out)  NFC CHAMP

95-96  PITT  40  =  PITT (nc)   AFC CHAMP



94-95  SF  44     =  SF (c)   NFC CHAMP

90-91  BUFF 44   =  BUFF (c)  NFC CHAMP


teams that score 40 or 40+ in div games are  (2-7 ats) with 3 underdogs winning outright!!.....after the 1st two times of 90-91 and 94-95  those 40+ scoring teams are 0-7 ats with 3 outright losses!!

clarifying my last post a bit more.....these were the teams who were home favs in divisional round and scored 40 or more points in that div game,than were also home favs in the conf champ game!!.......POINT BEING IS THAT THE  N.E PATRIOTS FALL IN THIS BOAT THIS YEAR!!

yup pats are def not going to cover because the 95-96 pitt team didnt after scoring 40 points in previous game like pats....damn i wish i saw this before........lol man this shit cracks me up

Im lost.........how far back does it go? Are you saying the Pats fall into a trend that is 0-7 SU against them?

From 1990 to 2001 the #1 seed made it to the bowl from either side 10 of the 12 years............

from 2002 to 2010...........7 out of 9 times..........

Thats a combined 17 out of the past 21 years............thats 81%..............


The #1 seed from either side did not making it to the bowl in 2008 & 2010...........


I can see the Patriots winning this game & not covering..............

When there are two #2 seeds playing in the championship games, one has lost SU & the other has won SU 9 of 11 times in 21 years the situation came up..................9-2............82%...........


So if the Ravens lose SU, take the 49ers

If the Ravens win SU, take the Giants

I should state I could only go back to 1990 & the #2 seeds havent played each other in the bowl game.........

I found that I can go back to 1985 & still the #2 seeds didnt play each other in the bowl game, thats 26 years...............

PTB - though I like the Ravens to cover, I'd be more worried about that 1 than your 49'rs play. Balty's D is damn good but not the dominant 1 it once was & their pass rush matters more than anything. The toughest thing to defend in football is the well executed pass play - nobody does that better & with more variety than Brady & the Pats except maybe Brees/NO in their house. Only reason I lean to Balty covering is I think they'll be able to put up enough pts thru a balanced attack on a weak to mediocre Pats D even if it comes late. But when & if Brady & that O gets rollin, obviously a td is nothin - 1st qtr & half should tell the story. GL

Well it took a week to finally convince myself that I will take the points and the Ravens come Sunday. To me this was the tougher of the two to pick....I think this is the last chance for that aging defense to win another shot at a ring....But my Giants will finally get their 2001 SB revenge. This has been eating me up for the last decade....Win one for me Mr. (MVP SB 2001) Ray Lewis and see what a real team with both an offense and defense will do to your ...........I can't even come up with any negatives that I believe are true for the HOFer.  I just want a shot at redemption. He's such a great player, but I still want to kick your ass.
