According to ESPN Bet Live, their handle was heavily KC - tickets and cash. Based on the final score I assume the four basic teasers all cashed.
OTOH, I bet the Reno sportsbooks had a REALLY good day.

I'm gonna guess that the sportsbook profited some but maybe not their most profitable Super Bowl ever
Sportsbook cashing 7 of those million dollar niner bets

The books took a historic loss with the Swifties winning this game.
The public cleaned up this SB

I hit a 18TM parlay and 16TM parlay combo Sat CBB + SB TT, Totals & Props. Adjusted lines.
Vegas will come back with a vengeance this week in hoops. Easiest sport to do that
OT saved me otherwise would have lost.

Congrats
February post superbowl is always the best time to take a break from sports betting, and wait until March Madness for some futures, and then NHL/NBA playoffs make their run.

I never believe these numbers that the books throw out. Same guys that will not pay you your money if you don't rollover 50 dollars. Tell me why they would be willing to give that out if it's such valuable information to the public faders

I don't pay attention to that stuff either but there's no need for the books to throw out fake numbers on a game like this.
As the line said, it was a coinflip game. And it was. Neither team was in control, it came down to the last play in regulation and then the last play in OT.

Hope you made out with a profit today, DBW!

From what Patrick everson is describing that sounds like the books got a swift kick in the nuts . We won't know the full extent until the smoke has cleared

@fubah2
No profit on Sunday - I went 1-3.
However, I did hit my usual preseason objective which I seldom manage to do; 56% winners on the season. That was particularly gratifying after last season's debacle.
How was your Sunday and football season?

@NutinButtLove
All these people talking crap about one side or the other....I agree...it all was a coinflip type game from the start. Very easily could have gone the 9ers way.

No. 49ers had 0 chance to win this game truthfully. How the game went is just a visual for the outcome that was already decided. Chiefs were always going to win this game. Public bets are irrelevant.

exactly. Unless you personally know somebody in a big book, you are never gonna see the real numbers. All you have to do is ask yourself, why would the book give out info, to help people win their money. Bettors are always gonna bet, no reason for books to help them, unless they want to use those numbers to mind fuck bettors and make them lose even more money. Also know way to know who made all the bets. Everybody thinks that just because kc had more bets and money, that it has to be all regular bettors. Who knows lots of that kc money could be great bettors. We have no way of knowing. So all the guys that bet according to those numbers, you are better off just flipping a coin. I was on sports insights when they first came out and if you followed the so call revers line movement based on the numbers they were getting from the books at end of year you would be around 50 percent. Better off asking your local if you use one, who the worst players are that he has. Even then the worst gamblers still hit 45-50 percent, so after figuring in the vig, you wont make a ton fading them. When you find a good fade, you still cap your own games and then compare to the fade. In closing dont believe the numbers books give out, they dont want to help you. Those numbers have been one of the most closely guarded things for years, now they want to give them out. Yeah okay lolllllllllll. A fool and their money is soon parted. If you want to get rich, put your money in the market and watch how much you have after 30-40 years. Good luck

books lost on KC side and all teasers. they won perhaps some on the total.
they will always win on the props even though some of the most popular ones (Kelce and CMC) cashed. books didnt clean up but they won plenty on props like they always do.

I'm pretty sure there is a transparency law that force books to report betting splits.
when the action is lopsided and books make no effort to even it out they generally win. books took a position on sf and lost on the biggest bet game. Considering the teasers its an epic loss for them. the only brightside for them is alot of new bettors won on kc and some will be hooked now.

@packersbackers
Appreciate it buddy! I remember at halftime thinking if only the game could get to a a tie like 20-20 Id have a shot. One point shy for each time at 19, I'll take it. On to March Madness!

The missed XP changed the game. Otherwise KC has to go for it on 4th &6 instead of kicking the FG to tie. SF was winning 90% of the game. If its 17-13 instead of 16-13 late there wouldn't have been that ot.

I agree, books lost KC spread and Money line. Books should win big on majority of props, esp. those most popular and heavily betted props on Kelce an CMC.

@Digitalkarma
The books were exposed to KC futures cashing, and especially when their odds inflated after their Xmas day debacle and looked awful vs Raiders...I believe at it's peak their odds got up to +1100 that week.
SF futures were always the chalk so the books could have easily offset those bets all year long from the other futures they booked.
This won't affect the sport books bottom line once all their year end tally is completed, but this will go down as "Black Sunday" for all the books from their own perspective.
Nice to see the public win for a change,,,even if most of them will surely dump it all back within days/weeks/months.
The house always wins in the end, even if rare unicorns like Billy Walters, Yachtman Vanzack, Teasertime Train, The People's Champ or DigitalKarma consistently make off like bandits in the night.
FWIW, now would be the best time to reinvest some winnings into The Swifties futures to win it next year @ +700,,,,they will actually be much better once they sign a top tier WR, looks like they are targeting Ridley or Higgins,,,KC will have much more cap space to add to their roster, and their Defence as young as they are, could actually get better next year.
Chiefs will always be in the mix to win it all until the playoffs, so there will most likely be hedging opportunities with +EV just like this year.
