this really is great stuff...i am going to incorporate this into my use of a "modified" porkys system which i have been using for a few weeks now

ECC...Based on my lines and using your system for dogs the ytd record is 21-7 (75%)
Modified Porky system is 21-9 (70%)
 
combined 42-16 (72%)
 
Pretty damn good.

yea thats what I was going to say.  When I went back to check lines I used vegasinsider.com so that could be where the mix up is, But I have it all on spreadsheet so I'll go back and check it out.

For WEEK 2: I had Chi game a PUSH for the 2H and Tenn Original line was a PK. I haven't used an original line as a PK because there is no favorites.

I haven't looked at the whole game outcomes.  But KANGY has found a system when the 2H line is 7+ take the leader at half to win 2H

Here's the Official Tally (with lines from vegasinsider.com) your 2H lines may be different, but to do the research and go back I used their 2H lines to find my results.

Looked it over closely 3 times and came out with the same results:

ECC, I need to look at the college numbers, I do not think I will find much of a trend when the line is +/-7, because you have a bunch of large game spreads, something you do not have with the NFL due to parity.  I will see what I can find.

Porky/EccCappers...what is your ytd record for you original system for the sides only?
I backtested your original system, tweaked system, and EccCappers system and have the following results:
 
YTD Sides
Porky's Original: 21-13
Porky's Tweaked: 22-12
EccCappers: 22-11
 
Also...ytd record on totals...if you have. Much appreciated!!

Week 5 was the only other week that had a losing record at 1-2 and the week after went 3-1.  lets see if that continues this weekend

Ya'll are kick ass!   I knew if I read it enough times it would click in my head what the middle was.  Shoulda wrote in on paper and I woulda figured it out quicker I'm sure.  Anyways, a big thanks, and keep up the good work.  Unfortunately I wont be around this weekend to try out the system, but I damn sure will next week.
