Of course they can. They're perfectly happy to play any team that wants to go up and down the field like that, it's their game and they're probably better at it than their opponents. They aren't good vs the pass but they are actually 2nd in the league in yards per rush allowed.
Teams pass on them because the run game isn't working and they have to keep up with their explosive offense. Defense wins championships is actually kind of outdated. All the worst teams in the NFL are the ones with bad offenses, that can't score TDs.
If a team can get them into a slop fest on an outdoor field then they have a better chance than trying to win a track meet vs Detroit. They can beat anyone, winning in KC last year proved that. Minnesota looks good but I have a feeling they will come down to earth, 9ers are still good but pass d is still a weakness.
