Genuinely curious.
This is true, however, often when you feel you left some money on the table, you go extra the next game.

to be honest, what i really care about is being right, been all about sports since i was a baby and i expect my knowledge to make me a winner, being right feels better than winning the $ that comes from being right.

And this is ( one small part) why most gamblers won't make money. The size of your bet should be commensurate w the confidence in your pick, not making up for money left on the table in your last bet(s). And if your bigger bets aren't making you money, .... good luck, because your process of picking games is failing.

A psychological question. I would say the wins are not as enjoyed as much as the losses if you gamble in anything long enough. And who is cashing out a $100 win unless they are at a casino? It will be retained and used for the next bet. Still any win beats a loss it's just never enough. Whether it's $100, $1,000, or $1,000,000 it's all relative based on what money you have or spend on gambling. Would a billionaire winning $1,000,000 at a table be happy? Nope lol

Yes. I’ve won a lot more and lost a lot more in a day. But I have a yearly gambling fund which I’m comfortable with losing, so I gamble for fun/action rather than necessarily trying to turn a profit. So anything break even or higher is a plus. It’s free entertainment. I started gambling because I lost interest in watching sports in my mid 20s. Gambling has brought it back.

Well sure. I'd be more than content with a $100 per day.
More importantly, do you have a plan on how to achieve this goal?

This is a great post. I often think this describes me also.
Very insightful and honest post.

Never going to happen to consistently make that or any amount to the plus daily gambling.
But with that being said a small return on gambling investments daily for a fortunate winning streak (if your really good at handicapping) is very obtainable but the problem is that the overwhelming majority won't settle for that small return and will go and gamble an additional game and never pull a profit back and then find themselves in chase mode and that's when they find themselves doomed.
It's funny how those same people that are up a hundred for the day are the same people that have cds in the bank for 2000 to generate and wait for seven months or more to profit that same hundred that not only gets taxed but the interest rate would have to be 5% to even put you in that position in the first place and will be awhile before that interest rate is that high again.
But sadly many don't want that Hundred or less daily because to a gambler and it's obsession it's mere pittens!
Shame on those that think this way and unfortunately there are many.

100 dollars a day would be great for a start up gambler but when you have lost thousands over the years as i have its nothing i have won as much as 30,000 in a day on a 12 game point spread parlay and lost it all back in less than a year worse loss in a day is 5000 chased from sun up to sun down its a disease that i just cant shake

@Macwestie1
Start a separate bankroll. Track it for a year only making one bet any day no exception.
Track it against your normal account.
Might be surprise what you find out.

I come at it a different way.
I withdraw with substantially more frequency than I deposit and that makes me happy.
The other most satisfying part of my sportsbetting "career" is that I have learned to be profitable losing more bets than I win.

I am always happy to make $100 on any day. I can also lose $100 a day if I have another $100 to play with tomorrow.
It's all about getting to play for me without going too deep.
The key IMO is knowing when to pull back when things are going in the wrong direction. You have to step away and clear your mind of the bad beats because they will cause you to make bad plays.
Trying to get it all back at once is the key to destruction.
