You can debate it forever. But it wasn't a stupid call. You can debate the slant. You can debate they should have run Lynch. But to say it is a stupid call is wrong. Because they are very close decisions.
The biggest problem is that they wasted timeouts. Calling the timeout after the Kearse catch in the end is what cost them the game. If they have 2 timeouts, they run 3 plays from the 1.
But they burned the TO, and were forced to make a decision on what down to throw the ball. If the don't throw on 2nd down, and they didn't get in on 2nd, they run the same exact pass play on 3rd down.
