So based on that the Texans would be the play...Still not loving the Texans QB situation and Dalton will probably not throw 4 picks again but who knows their line sucks and he probably be lucky to survive the season.

Thanks Powercore for your post and thoughts and yes the Texans are the play here not only because of this interesting stat from this very respectable handicapper in Wayne Root but I think the points in this game are very viable and I think the Money Line merits a look also. Just a motivational angle for the Texans after that big letdown at home against a much improved Jacksonville team that put them in an awkward position as a let down spot for their fans after a dismal performance in front of their home crowd after the disastrous Hurricane Harvey spell that put an incredible hurt upon their city. I feel the game will be hard fought in the trenches and a game that Houston makes good for the City and their fans that they failed to do at home last week and come out with a victory in this game on the road in a 17-10 or a 14-10 type game.

An over 80% winning Fact from a 33 year handicapper Wayne Root and now This by Jrod6?
That's it! The percentages are Way to good to pass up so I'll bite
Posted 2017 NFL Record 0-1
Current Covers NFL contest record 3-3-1 (Jeff From The Future)
Texans +6.5 (1 Unit)
Texans Money Line (1 unit also) I'm feeling it!
Parlay: Houston and the Under 38 (.5 Unit)
I realize that there are so many other games to play than this one this weekend but the percentages are overwhelmingly in the Texans favor that I will be playing this game for profit in my pocket
Good luck to all this week in your plays
Play smart protect your money
and if you go past one hand with plays that your wagering on this week you most likely played to many.

Teams that are favs after being shut out the week before are 43-29-1 S/U since 1989.
Ha! How crazy is that Aussie? The book was published in 1989
so things changed drastically apparently since then. Thanks for
the stats that you dug up but regardless the book has bought some great handicapping in sights
and is a good read indeed.
I still like this motivational spot for a fan and City redemption
for the Texans and my plays are as posted

With the Bengals, they shouldnt be laying almost a td to anybody. That being said, i see the Bengals bouncing back with a win but a cover? I dont know about that....
Sip on that plus money honey!

Hey Digital thanks for chiming in Bud and yeah I get it the Texans are crippled mangled and have a rookie quarterback but Cincinnati is a work in progress in itself and as you stated should NOT be giving points to no one and me myself I personally think that Houston plays extremely well and redeems itself for a game that they wanted to win so badly for their city but let them down and the motivation and the determination that they bring in this game should not be taken lightly. They won't let this game get out of hand and let their fans down again oh no they won't! They WILL be in it until the end with an out right victory a very possible scenario I see as well.

Wayne Root had good insight back in the day before the NFL went the route of WWF. The zebras now control the game and perform their duties well at the behest of their handlers who determine the outcome. It's managed entertainment at it's finest

Classic. Either you're working or just an imbecile. Bengals it is by default.

Hold up...... Aside from the ancient quote keys use plain out football 101 logic. Texans won't win this game: 1) far to many injuries 2) down to 3rd tight end 3) Watson is banged up 4) Watson a rockie starting w a depleted O line 5) Poorly coached team vs consistently decently coached team 6) Brian C out/ John R debut 7) Home team Thursday. If u bet the ML u can bet the house. I think they will cover fairly easy however if ML to high for you, you can get a lot of value teasing them w other teams. Cinci won't lose.

Cinci has a lot of injuries as well but it's half of what Texans have. As well I thought I heard the commentator say the WR crew are all basically new to the team. They are going to protect Watson. And not expose him to much while Cinci flips field position & pulls away. He scored last week, most likely cause they weren't expecting change up. Cinci has short week to game plan plus Hou relocation due to weather has taken a toll. Leonard F ran all over Texans last week (YouTube). They struggled w a rok!! Also, Balt is a division rival that knows them in & out. I honestly feel it can go under but it's not a safe bet either way based on the possibility of high turn overs & pic 6s. For the winner of this game you are wasting time researching data. This is a game data is irrelevant based on circumstances discussed. Tease Cinci if not sold though I expect them to cover easily. Thank me later.

Agreed 100%. Only logic I can apply is a rok with depleted o line & team as a whole w a sad coach. Let alone Hous relocation for hurricane. They are weary & battered and have nothing.

I have his book that was published in 1989 before the sport became WrestleMania as poster #11 has stated. Many of his (Wayne Root) scenarios in this book be it old are still to this day solid and full of high percentage scenarios to work in a NFL handicappers favor weekly.
Now to those of you shaming him I agree that when you get involved with Dave Cochran and Jim Feist and them no good manipulative, shady, lying, money hungry no more than 54% handicapping group. (On a good year) well then things have changed since then and for what once was is not no more.
Take this quip from his book in my thread as you see it but the way I see it is:
Texans make good for their Fans, Their devastated city, Their team and their birthday boy quarterback Deshaun Watson so again I state:......Take The Points Take The Money Line and then Take yourself to the bank come Friday morning
