So far today on Covers we have had several worst quarterbacks in the League including Romo, Tannehill, RG3, Schaub, now Flacco and Stafford and tonight will be Cutler.

Not the coach, stafford throws crap passes, he tries to be smooth and underhand and sidearm garbage, but he sucks

Stafford had got to be one of the most ovverrated qb's. The media and sports commentating talking heads love to talk about how great Matt Stafford is all the time. They talk him up before games like he's John Elway. 

But really he sucks. He has probably the best wide out in the leaugue too as a weapon.

Stafford looks like an all star since he is playing my Giants today.  Giants up 10 points at the half to now trail by 7.

Stafford has the tools to be a top 10 qb...

what he lacks is a mentor...

at 6 mil a yr for the next 2 yrs, Schwartz will be back...the fords dont pull the trigger quickly...

what Schwartz needs to do is give linehan the ziggy, bring in a coordinator with an imagination who can help Stafford refine his game...

All true, but I think Stafford's problems are entirely coaching. They actually ENCOURAGE him to freelance and throw those BS sidearm flip passes.  I have watched Stafford play since his Fr year at UGA.  He is perfectly capable of textbook throwing mechanics.

Linehan and Schwartz are lazy and hiding their lack of creativity and work ethic behind the talent of the team.  They put the team in bad situations due to poor game planning and rely on Stafford to pull miracles out of a-s-s with low percentage trick shots.  Schwartz should be the first coach fired this year (right after Shanahan).  Get Stafford a good OC who is not past his prime and an good QB coach and the Lions will flourish.  Otherwise he will regress badly next year and fall on the scrap heap of other Lions QBs that never developed to their potential.

He's an average NFL quarterback who will be just that because he'd rather drink and chase snatch than work on improving his game. He's the last one at practice and the first one to leave because alchohol and women are much more important to him than football is.

It's not a big secret around the league that he'd phuck a catcher's mitt or stick his tool in a gopher hole. He did the exact same thing when he was at Georgia and he's carried his drinking and beaver hunting right on into the NFL.
