I post all of my straight plays on twitter.
The reason? I can control the content. No trolls. It just makes life so much easier.

Exactly, I hear people all the times talk about how bad these forums are when in reality these forums are gold compared to other places

This is true. I was talking more about the community itself

Twitter does not give a direct audience like Covers does. You start with 0 followers on twitter, on here I can be a nobody and everyone can still see my post

Twitter is a better representation of novice bettors ...I purposely sit at the last bar seat by the ticket writers window to hear people's bets ...80-85% of tickets are 3-9 selection parlays =Donations to the casino ...No wonder Nevada has recorded record sportsbook profits the last 2 months ....Most of the younger crowd has not had Veterans drilling them with Parlays and teasers are for SUCKERS..

The issue is that there are a few people on Twitter who win a bunch of huge parlays which encourages the community to keep betting parlays at a constant rate. Once you win one parlay at +2000, placing -110 bets feels awful. Thats just how it is and a lot of things in life are like that. Like imagine driving a Ferrari and then someone telling you to drive a Honda after 5 years, you will not do it.

@Phillip2002
I hear what you're saying BROTHER
,but I promise if you're betting only +2000 parlays and avoiding straight bets you'll be broke begging for change to catch the bus ...At that point the beat 1997 Honda civic will be a pipe dream ...
Twitter is a sportsbook's wet dream...like you said a couple guys hit a few long shot parlays and everyone thinks it easy. ..It's nearly impossible to turn a yearly profit betting parlays , and the books will take and encourage that action all day everyday ...
Not saying you're that guy Brother , but in all my years of wagering I've never met a parlay bettor who was successful ..

No No I am against all of that, I am trying to teach people the reality, the same one you spoke about. For some reason, I just get super frustrated when other people quickly believe things that lead to their downfall, like believing that +2000 parlays are the way to go

Im up 1800 betting straight bets and 2200 betting ML parlays. though hit a 5 way for 2k and a 8 way for 1400 but most parlays didnt pay. I have found that I enter a pickem contest thats for free and then I look at that and any upsets I have in the pickem - I put into a parlay. Seems to be working ok.
The 1400 8 way I had a friend bet for me when he was in vegas. I told him to bet a 13 way parlay for $10 based on my pickems. He called to tell me they would only take a 12 way and I didnt have my phone so didnt get the call so he didnt bet it. By the time he got a hold of me he was at a different book and said they would only take an 8 way parlay. so told him to just take the first 8 and bet it. Well it hit at 140/1. I would of done $100 but didnt want to hit him up to front me a $100.
He later said he was wondering why I only bet $10 he would of bet the $100 for me.
His son was with him making the parlay and said no way it would hit so they didnt bet it.
oh and the 13 way would of hit also.
So dont say no to parlays - look at some underdogs and bet some ML parlays and it may work out
