As a whole, their pass D is what has been impressive... ranking 5th in the league. Their defensive statistics are actually very similar to Jacksonville's if you look at every category.
Tennessee's pass defense has been horrible the past 3 games. Malcolm Butler has been playing the worst football of his career....he has been carrying over his play from last year in New England, which got him benched in the SB. His technique has been horrendous and teams have been attacking him....Luck and TY had a field day a couple weeks back. With this being said, I still think the Titans D plays well enough against Kessler and will get the win. I would expect the Titans to shake off the "New England Hangover" this week, and I think Vrabel will have his boys prepared to play and back on track. If there is one think Mike Vrabel can do well is his scheme his defense. He did an excellent job against his former team-mate, and the GOAT TB12 which is a very, very hard thing to do. I'm willing to bet he wont have a hard time with Kessler. He also played around with the O-Line last week after the half. Think he have may found a winning combo as pass protection improved dramtically after he made the change at the half against the NYJ. Tonight will be a good test for them.
Tennessee at home minus the chalk for 2 units.

The only thing making me reluctant to play Tennessee is i had a big play on thm vs the Jets and they screwed me.
Robbie Anderson torched them 1st half. Pass D is suspect.
But they fixed it 2nd half. ended up with yardage over 400 vs less than 300 for NYJ.
Jags were outgained in the win vs Colts. no TDs. they also haven't scored a TD v Tennessee in their last 2 games!
bad team off a win love to go against them next game. backup wins first game, love to go against next game.
Titans didn't have to travel on the short week. it's a huge game for playoff chances, and have won like 5 out of the last 6 vs Jax. they even owned them when Mullet Man was there.
Jags don't have the QB or WRs to expose the pass D and are starting rejects on the O-line vs a good front led by Jurell Casey.
if they can avoid another sluggish start they should be fine. neither team is really built to play from behind as they lack explosiveness. Mariota s pick6 is what really hurt titan backers vs the Jets.
and then there was special teams mistakes. if they clean that up they should be able to win this game by a good margin. it will all depend on keeping the Jags in bad field position, long down distance, avoiding the penalties and turnovers. because Jax won't sustain long drives otherwise.

Jags are still an elite team. Titans have been underperforming all year but knew how to beat the Pats.
Jags hated Bortles, they played their little hearts out last week stifling Luck and the Colts who were rolling at that point. The QB change here is huge
I think this D gets up again coming off of a SO performance and Jags win outright in a very low scoring affair.
