The New York FOOTBALL Giants season is already over, they are 0-3.
BTW, I'm so friggin' glad you (not you personally, just every friggin' announcer) just have to say FOOTBALL Giants, because it's been, what since 1957 since Say Hey Willie Mays laced 'em up?
It's New York Giants. It's football. They play football. Not too well at 0-3, and not in New York, but hey, why quibble? BECAUSE EVERYBODY HAS TO SAY THAT WORD..........gah!

Jaguars give up two TD's of 70+ yards. 70+ yard runs....against the Jets. Who are MISSING THEIR STARTING RB in Forte.
2nd and 6 on the 6 yard line for the win and cover and they kick the FG and lose outright.
I was on the two biggest public favs of the weekend:
Georgia -7
Jags -3
It deserves to lose
There was no way I was cashing both with 10 million bettors on both sides and the death knell was the UGA romp yesterday. This pick was set up to lose.
You will see A LOT less of me.
I don't care if I finish around 50% this year after 70% and 62%.
100 games of juice...that's what's been accomplished.
Enough is enough.
I will put quality plays up or nothing.
The Jets with a ownership that intentionally stripped this team of its best assists....are 2-1 with an 0/U that dropped to 3.5. 2-1 and they have th Browns next week!!!!!!!!! RU fu**ing kidding me? They may be in FIRST PLACE!
So I am breaking up my record:
Old HIGH VOLUME 2017 Scal: 50-50 with the Giants game included.
New LOW VOLUME 2017 Scal: 0-0
All will count toward the 2017 record and both records will ALWAYS be posted.
But this bullshi* has to stop. A 3-22 QB wins not one but two games outright.....2.
I'm done with high volume capping and if anyone sees me do otherwise call me the fu** out on it.
It's a long term losing proposition!

Scal, perhaps do what the majority here do anyway, go to a rating system which is likely what you are suggesting anyway with your high volume Vs. Low volume records.
May I suggest calling them Normal Plays versus something such as 'Play of Week' or 'Scal Pick' and then over the course of a year you might have 20, 30, or 40 of these POW type plays but nothing wrong with you having a few or 5 or 10 normal plays a week since many here like to hear your thoughts on games.
At least for me I know if I am liking a play but one of my Top 10 favorite posters here across the site are going the opposite I will likely give the play some pause or at least lower it, or re-investigate using their analysis.
You have built enough of a rep here over the years to have many users asking for your thoughts on many games so it is natural that you fell into the multiple plays a week mentality quite easy since there are so many games to choose from across all the different sports. And information on everything has never been more aplenty causing you to find many gems.
Hope we still see you posting quite often around here even if it's after a break, it's October 1st so here we go for another amazing fall/Winter part of the years schedule, don't break now, break next June for the Summer!

I agree with the jags have no idea how these jets keep winning. They are blowing their top draft pick. They passed on Watson .They didn't move up for Goff.Been a diehard jet fan my whole life but they can't even lose when it would be beneficial for the organizaton.

Hey Scal - still a fan - said I won't comment any more - but I am (guess maybe you do get some "entertainment" points).
In 100 picks - 50/50. Basically like flipping a coin. Maybe capping has got too hard for you - maybe you had a lucky 20-30 game run early on for 1st two years - or maybe the high volume is brutal and you DO win low volume.
Good luck - hope you do get to HIGH CONVICTION, LOW VOLUME plays as right now you just helping Wynn take all our money instead of vice versa.
Good luck - hope you spend more time capping than the 2-3 page fights in Penalty Box.

Scal, long time fan and follower here. Just wanted to make a friendly observation I've noticed about this year different than previous successful years.
I could be totally wrong, but when checking in throughout the week to see if you've made any selections, mostly what I come across on your homepage is politically related. I was wondering if you felt your focus/interest is with politics and the climate of America right now is the same with sports capping.
In no way am I trying to undermine your hard work or your intentions, you could go 0-10 over the next 10 plays and I'd still play the 11th. I follow no one else blindly besides your picks, and I've been betting a long time. I was just wondering if you don't feel as interested in sports as you do with the landscaoe in America and the government right now. Thanks again for all your hard work, win or lose

You don't need a Mega write-up to help you support the Jags here so why would I provide one?
I will say this: When Matt Forte was declared out, after such a big win last week which could jumpstart the season for an awful team, it screamed the Jets coaches are throwing water on any momentum the Jets had last week.
When coaches are trying to keep guys out, they are one of two things:
With good teams, they are trying to keep the other teams off balance.
With bad teams, they are trying to keep things to themselves because they don't have the right excuses for sitting guys.
And when you read that article, you'll see the laundry list of Jets potentially not playing. And you can bet the majority won't play. And this is already a severely depleted team as detailed in the Jets Bills thread to start the season. And the Jets....depleted themselves.
And don't forget McCown in now 3-22 as a starter. Yes he had a great game last week, but now you have to win two in a row with him behind center and you only get 3 as insurance.
Not enough points. Jags playing for first place. Jets are still on pace to match their Vegas win total of 4 (1-2 now if they go 1-3 that's 1 win over a quarter of the season which would equal 4).
I see the Jags winning and covering and I'm not worried about it at all.
6 of 10 on a scale of 10 as a bet.
Not much of a write-up but the pick is so square, I won't insult you with more 'advice'.
Hours and Hours of "Losers" ? My God, go rake the leaves, clean the garage, take the kids Apple picking, perhaps start carving Pumpkins instead of hours and hours of typing about Jacksonville and The "NY Football Giants" - (For you younger fellows, it was the GREAT Howard Cosell who made that quote famous." )
Scal - find a new hobby - we are all capable of the time-proven percentages of 44% - 52% of picking winners and losers. The NFL stands for - No F----ing Logic ......and don't ever forget it boys and girls ! Peace out - Bye for now. Scal, take a breather.
