His postgame comments. “I pulled on receivers jersey. That he can’t disagree with the call”. EOD
Poor guy doesn’t realize he is just a patsy. The route the receiver was running, the trajectory of the throw, etc. That was not a catchable ball. The entire thing was bogus. I can see it being called in a pre season game, but the 4th quarter of the SB, in a tie game?

What else is he going to say. That the call was bs and take a bunch of backlash including fines.

@begginerboy
Really nothing more to discuss. He admitted to pulling his jersey. It was called a hold and the guilty player admitted it.

whether the ball was catchable or not doesn’t apply to holding calls. Only PI.

The ball wasn't catchable because the defender first tugged the receivers jersey, and then wrapped his hands around his body, impeding his route. A hold is a hold.

Don't let facts and actual rules get in the way of BB's soap opera narratives.

defensive players grab jerseys on every down in football, so do o-lineman. the issue here is the super bowl was on the line and it wasn’t an egregious or even that obvious a hold. he may have slightly impeded him but defenders do that literally every play and it isn’t called.
pretty horrible way to end the biggest game of the season… but kinda fitting. still unclear how pushing joe burrow down after the play is over doesn’t yield a flag.

They don't do that on every play though because it's an obvious holding call. Prove it. If defenders do it on every play, point to some other plays in this game where the defender grabs the jersey, then grabs the torso of the receiver. Should be easy seeing as how it happens on every play, right?
I swear, you conspiracy theorist are allergic to facts.

@StumpTownStu
there’s no conspiracy. it was just a shitty call in that spot. rewatch any NFL game and you’ll see plenty of jersey grabbing friendo

I watch multiple games every week. And there are games every week that I will watch multiple times, slowing down plays for close scrutiny. So I know for fact it doesn't happen on almost every play. And when it does happen, it's called a hold more often than not. Bradbury held him twice on that play. A penalty is a penalty.

Bradberry should've known better . Cheffers is the kind of ref that will call it even if it may be perceived as ticky tack to others. Eagles were a bit uncharacteristic with penalties tonight. Most of them were pretty legit calls imo except I felt like Eagles defense got away with one near the end of 1st half. They were kinda grabby almost all game tbh came back to bite them in the end. Case closed

I've got a union job but am semi-retired at 40. I'm a partner in two businesses. I have rental properties. I have to travel for big work projects every month or two, which are involved and consume all of my time and attention but when I'm home up, I don't have to do shit but go on hikes in the summer and go snow boarding in the winter. Go to the gym. Cook delicious dinners for my family. So yeah, if I'm breaking down a team for handicapping purposes, I can watch a game multiple times. And I watch almost all Cowboys games twice.

I assume he is being told to say this to take the heat of the officials. This is unheard of . It is like the French player in the World Cup saying ' Yeah I tripped the Argentine it was a clear penalty' it just doesn't happen

@StumpTownStu
well you seem like a stand up dude. we’re just gonna have to agree to disagree about that title deciding call.
and again, i was on the chiefs. no saltiness on my end. just think it’s a shame the game ended the way it did

It was definitely a defensive hold. He totally impede Juju process 2 advance up field. Even the commentators said it would've been a touchdown catch if he didn't impede Juju process. Zebras just happened to called it at the perfect time and in favor of the less bet on team hahaha.

Felt like Gardner Johnson didn't get called for targeting with his helmet when he hurt Pacheco earlier.. no attempt to wrap but brace for impact lean with his helmet couldve hurt himself too.

It would have been cool seeing McCaffrey taking on the Chiefs. Not to mention Kittle, Deebo etc. but McCaffrey's one dynamic mofo matching Maholmes on the dynamic level. That being said, the Hurts fumble touchdown was a killer. They could have taken charge and not looked back.

I mentioned this twice but these guy don't like facts. They want to believe it's rigged because, I don't, it makes them feel better about themselves in some way? Also, the second fumble TD that was called an incompletion was probably a legit fumble. He got two feet down with full possession and then made a juke, which constitutes a football move. There was several plays like this against the Chiefs but nope, it was rigged against the Eagles.

@StumpTownStu
Yea that 2nd fumble was too close to call imo. Did he maintain possession long enough as he was beginning to initiate a juke move. If the hit came a fraction of a second later it would've been a fumble no doubt.
