1) Jay hurt his knee at the end of the second quarter
2) Got checked out by the team at halftime and they said he could play. Because he played one series in the second half. HE, I repeat HE decided HE was done after the incomplete pass where he had full mobility.
3) He never hobbled or limped the entire game. Your theory of what would have happened is a totally disposable summation.
4) Again. You can't watch his last series of the third quarter and say he was too immobile to continue the game. Especially the last play.

The list of excuses for Jay are all disposable.
1) 'His teammates suppported him' Yeah, five or six of them. Awesome. Good teammate 101. Why would they have any other company line? They have no choice in this position immediately and days following after the game. I'm surprised more of the team hasn't come out to defend him. And don't say they have, because I live here and they haven't/didn't.
2) He helped Hanie. This is bullshit and the point is overblown. I don't doubt he gave him a couple lines of encouagement, but it's beside the point. He should have been WAY more involved as a leader for the whole team. A little ra ra on the sidelines, high fiving the defense for another amazing stop, endless etc..... Oh and BTW. It matters nothing that Hanie supported him after the game. What else would he ever do????? Throw him under the bus for not being a better teammate after all the heat he was taking for showing no passion. He's the third string QB and would like to came back to the organization next year as the second string.
3) 'The camera's only caught the negative images.' Yeah another impromptu camera man smear campaign by the network. Executed with such precision. I can hear it over the walkie talkie now, " Hey guys, lets only catch the shots of Jay being a worthless and lifeless fuck on the sidelines. Nothing that might show he might not be mentally checked out of the game. Thats an order!!!"

I know without a doubt that most of the Jay supporters know the least about his history and or everyday impossible to like bratty frat boy persona we are all so familiar with in Chicago. You are mostly supporting him for the sake of argument you can't back away from because you've over invested in supportive nonsense.

All my points have a backing of what we all saw and heard. I'm tired of this argument because it will never be solved. You either agree( Or know for sure like me) that Jay could have tried harder to play hurt. And I know he was hurt. Or make baseless excuses for him based on nothing we actually saw on the field of play.

Two questions I would have liked Jay answer that may have gained him some simpathy from me and millions of others.
1) What exactly couldn't you do out on the field that made you not want to play anymore? Planting is not an acceptable answer, b/c you don't plant. Moving with nimble feet is not either b/c you were doing that fine before you checked yourself out of the game.
2) On what play exactly did you get hurt? Oh wait I remember. You said you're not sure. I know of all the terrible injury's I've ever personally had that were sooooo painful I couldn't have continued in the NFC Championship game, I would have a hard time pinpointing that as well. All that pain on Jays face. You can see him wincing through the helmet.

Last point for you pea brain naive mo mo's. If Cutler did tell Lovie he wanted to play in the third but couldn't because of his knee having an ouchy, do you ever think we would know that? Of course not!!!! Whether Jay said it was too debilitating to play or Lovie and the medical team pulled him we would always get the same explanation. Company line 101 for all you naive Nancy's out there.

As long as there is tape showing Cutler move around the way he did on those last two series before he came out I will never believe he didn't tap out. It's not  just about toughness. It's also about playing through pain, which requires passion of the hundredth degree Jay didn't possess on that Sunday.

Doesn't make him a bad guy or somebody that I wish to see fail from here on out. It makes him somebody who didn't dig deep enough when it mattered the most. He made a bad decision most of all on not trying longer through the game to give it a go.

I don't think he will ever recover in Chicago. Best of luck in another city. Sincerely.

Marshall put him strictly in shotgun to limit his movement, and he just was back there slinging it. And his teammates literally had to carry him down the field after first downs because he couldn't walk on his own. That's an example of a QB putting it on the line for his teammates, and being tough.

You still haven't answered why the medical staff didn't do anything to help the knee even though there was a chance they could go to the superbowl.  It makes no sense, either he pulled himself from the game because he didn't want to play or the bears have the most incompitant medical staff in the NFL

As in gambling, more often than not the public is wrong, however, in this case they aren't.  Cutler bitched out of that game, you and your few holdout bears fans continue to believe in the guy, probably because you gave up wayyyyyy to much to get him.  Sadly this will be the last NFC Championship the Bears sniff while Cutler is there.  Cutler will look back on tapping out of the game and wish he hadn't blown his only chance to reach the Super Bowl.
