Thank you.
Regardless of the injury. Let's look past that. Like I said in another thread. It was absolutely sickening to see his lack of involvement on the sidelines. It was obvious by his body language that he has mentally checked out on his team and didn't wanna be there. I don't think I've ever seen a quarterback be that disconnected from his team in a championship game.
Thank you.

And I remember a few years ago when Byron Leftwich was at Marshall. He had badly injured his knee, or ankle and could barely walk.
Marshall put him strictly in shotgun to limit his movement, and he just was back there slinging it. And his teammates literally had to carry him down the field after first downs because he couldn't walk on his own. That's an example of a QB putting it on the line for his teammates, and being tough.
Winners find a way. Losers find excuses.
Cutler supporters, take that as you may.

Guy's can't walk from torn ACL's. Slightly torn MCL is a big difference, plus Rivers had surgery the week before the championship game!!
Also thanks for the post, it allowed me to look up a few things and find what a real quarterback would do in a championship situation.
Meanwhile, Rivers came out a hero with the mystery ACL after completing 19 of 37 passes for 211 yards.
Rivers could hardly walk on Saturday evening, and head coach Norv Turner said he thought as late as Sunday morning that Rivers would be unable to start based on “the way he was moving.” Teammates praised him after the game, with a few saying they would not have played with the same injury.
Turner said yesterday that he had all but advised Rivers last Tuesday not to play against the Patriots.
“My advice to Philip was, 'This is a heck of a football team. We're going to be in this position many times in the future. Don't put yourself in that position. Just do what you need to do,' ” Turner said. “He wanted to play. I've never been around that mental toughness. I've never been around an attitude like that. Then to go out and play the way he did – it's one for me that's for the books.”

That is where perception is key my friend. Continue to back Jay Cutler, but you will NEVER see anyone say anything like that about Cutler, besides of course some BS postgame remarks from the captain that he's "tough as hell".
Neither has been to the Super Bowl, but hands down there is only one choice when it comes to what kind of teammate a player wants. Mentally tough!

I do understand but it was a TORN ACL. He couldn't walk, look at the quote, as of Saturday night he couldn't walk. He was on the sideline with ice on his knee and then a brace. He physically couldn't stand. Cutler was riding a bike, standing on the sidelines and then finally sitting WITHOUT ice or a brace.
He then immediately had surgery, he wasn't parading around the streets of L.A.
You still haven't answered why the medical staff didn't do anything to help the knee even though there was a chance they could go to the superbowl. It makes no sense, either he pulled himself from the game because he didn't want to play or the bears have the most incompitant medical staff in the NFL

Wow you found a guy hobbling around. The great part about this debate is you keep bringing other people into the conversation. You started by bringing up all the other players who were hurt and "couldn't play". All I can say is when I start an I told you so depeche2 thread about the downfall of Jay Cutler I hope you are man enough to admit you were wrong.
As for you calling everyone an idiot who posts about Cutler walking in L.A. yesterday. Look at the video, the guy is walking perfectly fine and at the end of the video develops a noticable limp. On a better note, what guy wants to go shopping with their girlfriend anyway? Wouldn't having a bad knee be the ultimate excuse for not wanting to walk around Beverly Hills?
As in gambling, more often than not the public is wrong, however, in this case they aren't. Cutler bitched out of that game, you and your few holdout bears fans continue to believe in the guy, probably because you gave up wayyyyyy to much to get him. Sadly this will be the last NFC Championship the Bears sniff while Cutler is there. Cutler will look back on tapping out of the game and wish he hadn't blown his only chance to reach the Super Bowl.
