Thanks brother
I told you this before, you need to change your subconscious loser programing. That should be your focus. Bet small or don't bet at all. Don't blindly tail anyone, van zack is good but he still loses atleast 40% of his bets. nothing about saints a road team on thursday night (big disadvantage) says go all in. You just wanted the action. learn from what you did and don't do it again.

Losing is horrible. bet small amount bro. even lose this game would not bother you. or even lose another few games won't bother you. sports gambling is not to make us rich unless we found some crazy methods. I see the best cappers on here only win 55%. and lose next season(s). this is just for fun to kill time and hope and wishing we celebrate with some wins.

I just read the rest of this and i revise my previous comment. You should never be betting your entire roll on 1 game. That is addictive behavior. Investors dont put their entire worth into 1 stock, same w sports betting. I started playing poker and sports betting with $20 free for signing up years ago and i played 2nl, then 5, then 10, then eventually 200, and 500, etc. Same thing w sports betting. I bet no more than 3% of my roll on a single game w my standard wager being 1.5%. So when i had 1000 my normal bet was only 15-30 max. It takes a long time. Its not a way to get rich overnight if you want to continue doing it.
In all honesty it sounds like you are an addict and you may need to find something else to do for fun. In fact, this is NOT fun for you. And im sure you have a lot bigger issues you need to work on. Get some help. I was a drug addict for years and i dont want to see someone suffer with any addiction. It never extended to gambling with me but you need to search your soul and admit if it is for you which i suspect is the case.

Stop betting and spend time networking, working on your resume and adding skills. If you’re a CS major and worth your weight in salt, you shouldn’t be wasting your life driving an Uber to fund your sports betting hobby. Now it’s assumes you want to actually use your degree and build a career but reassess where you’re spending your time and what the return is.
If you do keep betting tho, please post it for the rest of us and make sure to bump the thread often.

This is probably some of the best advice out there.. I, for one, bet smaller amounts today than I did years ago, even though I have more money today.. The 'sting of losing one game shouldn't derail you, and this game wasn't even a "bad beat." (a bet you should have won). (Note: New Orleans wasn't covering for most of this game)... I saw my own tendencies years ago to get derailed by betting more than my comfort zone.. Money Management.. Make the adjustment. ""No one bet"" should derail you enough to go on 'tilt.

I have been doing this for over 50 years. Your issue is not your luck or your picks. It is your money management.
50% of betters pick 50%. Not enough to win but enough to keep you in the game for a very long time. If you cannot manage your money do not bet. Just pick 4 numbers and play them 50 cents day and night. = 365 dollars a year. If you win 1 time payout is around 2k after taxes. If you do not win it cost, you 365 dollars for 1 year of action.
You also could go to a GA Meeting. You will know after the first meeting if you are an addict or not.

You failed Van and lost .....Your issue is bank roll management plain and simple bud . I still suffer from bank roll management issues at times . The great capers have mastered controlling emotions and sticking to thier unit bets and not chasing. Sounds easy right ??? Wrong controlling human emotions is extremely hard . A thing that I've found that helps is simply if I take a hard loss go take a walk and leave the phone at home . Reason for this is to let my mind clear before a make an emotional bet trying to chase . Money management is everything!

None of you guys know this dude if you give him any other advice than to QUIT.
This isnt his first time!
Who goes ALL IN on a thursday night game after having lost numerous times just this season!
He an ADDICT!
What he really needs to do is FOCUS on his career! He has a DEGREE but driving uber?
So you got laid off! So its hard to find a job in your field!
You have a computer science degree. Is it so hard to pivot? Learn coding, get other certifications, get into cyber securiity, heck get a whole new degree in a different field.
More and more jobs are now remote. Covid pandemic has change the office workspace.
No amount you win from betting will ever stop you from losing. You dont know to deal with your losses, manage it. You should seek help. Go to a real gambler anoymous meeting. Actual SEE PEOPLE. Listen to their stories.
Life is what you make it. You are healthy and can work. That in itself is a blessing! STOP blaming anyone but you for the life you have.
TALK to your wife. Lean on her to help.
MAKE THE LIFE YOU DESERVE.
There is no place greater than AMERICA where anyone can make it starting from the bottom!
