Let’s look at some numbers:
46.5 NYJ 4 26 19 17 18 32
6 Indy 29 12 28 15 13 5
The o/u line opened up at 46.5 – currently around 45. The column of numbers – reading left to right - Off. rushing rank, Off. Passing rank, Def. Rushing rank, Def. Passing rank, Sagarin rank and sagarin sched. Strength. The Jets are only better in two categories – Off. Rushing rank and Def. Rushing rank. Every other category Indy is better. What does all this mean? – Historically when teams have these rankings and a line around 46.5 – often the games are low scoring or at least under the total. I’m taking the under 45.
