I am someone with experience with addiction. Heavy addiction. And I’ve seen many friends lose their lives. Secondly I don’t play video games and my life experience in the underground world is second to almost none on this site. Especially for my age. I can guarentee it. From parents to relatives to close friends I’ve seen it all. Death , loss of everything , suicide. Hell my friend lost all his money and showed up on my doorstep asking for a spoon biting his lip bleeding from the need for his fix after being kicked
OUt of rehab. My cousin blew his brains out in front of my little sister. I’ve seen it all. I’m the oldest of 6 in a hard upbringing family. Crime and gambling have made me weathered to mentally believing I can overcome anything I put my mind too. You can overcome anything you put your mind too if you believe and strive for it. Well written... Josh Gordon was given many chances to turn his life around but he blew it. Both the Cleveland and New England organizations went out of their way to make straight his path and he betrayed them in the end.

I battle addiction too and you're right you have to get rid of the triggers and Football and fitting in is one of them
for Gordon. I was really rooting for him, I'm a Dolphins fan and I went through this with Ricky Williams albeit a
little different stemmed from a phobia of stress and too much of being a public figure as an athlete, so he coped
with cannabis.
I guess NE had the best chance, a good organization and a team full of winners that would teach this athlete how to
be a winner in his own life, sucks that this year the team faced more adversity than usual and adversity is always a
source of stress to an addict.
I hope he gets a hold of the disease and manages it one day at a time. Best wishes go out to him and his family
in the Holiday Season.

have an addiction are always addicts, some of us are lucky to become recovering
addicts. Here is something to do WALDO find the misused word in my last post on

Agree, addition is a disease but this man chose to pick up a pipe and smoke it. Now, cancer is also a disease unfortunately in many cases patients don’t have choices. This man had many opportunities in life to change his situation yet he chose to go down that path. Now, too much empathy or excuses for someone suffering from drug addiction often times leads to an enabler. I’m sure Mr. Gordon will get the help he needs.

And I want Gordon to succeed he will he’s already made money, I believe truly that he should have tried to fight through this season will everything he had. Take the off-season to decide whether or not to retire. I am goal oriented and would have made myself but then again everyone is different and he is not selfless in his thought pattern enough to change at this time
