It took 8 Cops to subdue me and that's when I was only 180LBS and ya I've tried Suicide before, I electrocuded myself in water but it didn't take - "Whatever doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger"

To say these former players earned their pay is an UNDERSTATEMENT. A lot of them turn into cripples due to their injuries while playing; and the real unfortunate ones pay with their lives.

Like the military turns a blind eye to a lot of its veterans, the NFL is doing the same with its--until now, seemingly (vis-a-vis lawsuit induced).

It's shocking how you can "have it all" for a period of time in your life...and then lose it, mentally, and end up dead.

They need psychiatric help--big time!

Yep tough  way to earn a living... Ask any coal miner or  like minded worker that actually  produces a product that is REALLY important to mankind... At a fraction of the pay and at a much greater exposure to harm and death... Football player.......  Tough gig... ....  Jr  a coward in the end... Look out for a rash of miner suicides this week... No RIP here.... Loser...

OF COURSE  there's risked involved with a lot of jobs out there.
But I was talking about potential PREVENTABLE suicides in relation to severe brain injuries, PTSD etc.
Certainly no compassion from you regarding Junior and all of his accomplishments, that's fine.
But I would hardly call him a "loser."

You can call them a lot of different things and cowardly is one of them...I lost a few friends to suicide so from personal experience it was a BS move on their part...

Some people fear their dirty little secrets will ruin them so they kill themselves. We'll never know Jr's specific reason for killing himself but one way of looking at it is he was scared to face reality. Whatever it was...it is what it is.

Unless....it's not a suicide?!....

A lot of blows to the head over the years. Plus life is friggin' hard to figure out going head first at everything--like a FB game--which life isn't like FB.

He could've been a great coach to others--I think. But guess he had issues.

He still has a popular restaurant in SD, called "Seau's." Guess his family runs it now.

He tried to kill himself a couple of years ago by taking his car off sunset cliffs in San Diego.

One thing about Seau He wasnt a quiter

You misunderstood me. I have a problem with "At least the asshole didn't kill his exwife and kids". Who is this clown to call him an asshole. Don't speak ill of the dead! I just thought it was tasteless to call the man an asshole on the day he died.  Chris Benoit was an asshole. He did kill his son!

Junior seau was an awesome player/humanitarian! Yes he was SELFISH for killing himself knowing he has 3 beautiful children and family that obviously loves him tremendously! We can speculate all we want but seriously there's no need for calling him an asshole or not a good player etc.....Junior did ALOT of good for a lot of people especially kids! He never forgot where he came from and who he was before all the fame and fortune! But really .....I think having being hit a lot in the NFL does something to your brain over time and I honestly believe this is why he is where he is today. Sad Sad situation....My heart goes out to his children, family, and friends that they may heal and get through this very tragic time in their lives! I can't even begin to imagine what they are going through right now! Live Pono everyone....God Bless!

When he played against SF when he was on the Chargers in the SB they were completly over matched....He was great..ALL-PRO...

We are at a critical time in the history of the game. If Seau actually committed suicide, he will be at least the third former NFL player to have killed himself in the span of 15 month, joining Dave Duerson and Ray Easterling. Additionally, Andre Waters killed himself in 2006. Disturbing is just the start of how you describe that trend.

that is why peyton manning said junior seau and ray lewis were the two best linebackers he ever faced.

Very poor comeback.  Is Dan Marino not a great player?  Bruce Smith?  On the other side of the coin is Trent Dilfer a great player because he won a superbowl with Baltimore?

guys right know we are not  trying to say if was great or not dan marino never won a super bowl and he was great the numbers dont lie    we talking a person  that inside of him he  had problems now saying that killing his family the problem was him not his family unfurnately you play a sport that is violent like boxing    now nfl has to find out was going on why this is happen more and more because is not going to be last one    i feel like is time to reflex and do something about it   i feel sympathy for all those people who has emotional problems so to judge anybody without knowing whats going on is rude
