Vegas really has the public fooled/confused. Same divisions, from opposing conferences, playing each other tomorrow night as they did tonight. The Ravens, like the Steelers, also on short rest. The Cowboys, like Washington, hasn’t played since thanksgiving and is well rested. The lines are also practically identical. -6.5 and -7 respectively. But there are huge difference between the two games and the two teams. Despite playing last Wednesday, the Ravens haven’t played as many games, in as many days, as the Steelers. They also had multiple players/starters who haven’t seen any action, due to Covid protocols. Also, unlike the Steelers, the Ravens are hunters not the hunted. They have lost several close, heartbreaking games, and now their playoff hopes hang in the balance. A team like Dallas is just what they need to take their frustrations out on. Washington, in the two games they played against Dallas, gashed them on the ground, to the tune of 200 yards each game. What do you think the Ravens, who unlike Washington have a mobile QB, will do to Dallas with their ground game? And we haven’t even gotten to the biggest mismatch of this game; the two head coaches. Say what you want about Harbaugh but he will run circles around McCarthy any day of the week. McCarthy is good for at least 2-3 head scratching plays a game. It’s enough to make a man sick to the stomach, even if they have no money on the game. Needless to say, I like the Ravens in this bounce back spot.
If, having seen all the dogs cover lately, you are afraid of laying the 7, tease them with Chiefs or Buccaneers. Two teams that should win their respective games this weekend.
