Does anyone know how well SD rebounds on the road a week after a home loss?
Last season the Chargers had one road game that followed a home loss. They dumped their home opener to Carolina in heartbreaking fashion and then went to Denver the following week and got robbed of a win by Ed Hochuli's bad call. They lost, 39-38, but covered as 1.5-point dogs.
In 2007, the Chargers lost at home to the Bears and then traveled to Denver and crushed the Broncos, 41-3. Mercy!
In 2006 the Chargers did not lose any home games.
In 2005, the Chargers played three times on the road following a home loss. They lost at Denver by 3 points but covered as 6-point dogs, 17-20. They won and covered at Oakland, 27-14, and they won and covered at Indianapolis, 26-17. That was the game where they ruined the 13-0 Colts' bid for an undefeated season.
Looks like 5-0 ATS for the Chargers on the road immediately following a home loss, although three of those five covers happened back in 2005 with Drew Brees as their quarterback. Make of all this what you will.

I HAVE THEM MY FREN, CHARGERS ARENT ELITE ANYMORE, NO LT, NO MERRIMAN, NO JAMAL WILLIAMS, NORV TURNER AS COACH, NO DEFENSE ... ONLY ELITE GUYS THEY HAVE IS RIVERS, JACKSON, GATES AND SOMEWHAT SPROLES, THATS IT ...I LIKE MY CHANCES WITH AN IMPROVED KC TEAM ...
Let's see if you're still calling them an improved KC team after Sunday's game. After I lost with them plus 9.5 points at home against the Giants, I was calling them a bunch of dickless cream puffs, but I can be mean when I lose money.

Newsflash...Chargers aren't good. Weak line play in a divisional game for a west coast team at 1? Give me the Chefs
Somebody tell TOUCHDOWNJETS that the game is being played in Kansas City, Missouri. The starting time doesn't mean shit to the Chargers in terms of their body clocks. Come on, get real.

If San Diego is that of a better team, why not a -7 line or even a -6 line (2 FG) ... why a -5 or -4 line??? , that's what is so strange here, but i think we all agree San Diego its the better team, but they arent elite anymore, remember they only beat Raiders by four as a 10 point favs ... I'd rather put my money on the homedog this time ...
Sounds like you just answered your own question, alecboyh. No need for the books to make the Chargers -6 or -7 when they can reel in more than enough people to fade the Chargers with only +4.5.

You're right, glyde69. What should my punishment be? Should I turn myself in to the Covers police and insist upon one month in the Penalty Box? Two months?

The way I see it, save the nanny nanny poo poo shit for the true douchebags.

No crying when gambling dude. Take the loss like a man, and any abuse that comes with it. Bator has paid his dues.

I don't know Bator or any "dues" he has paid on the long hard road of posting on Covers. All I saw was a thread by someone who didn't seem to be trolling or begging for attention, and said thread was bumped AFTER THE FACT pretty childishly. I commented on that.
I also don't know where you got the impression that I bet KC and wasn't taking it "like a man."
Peace and love and best of luck to all in the upcoming weekend.
