Clearly does not know what a big game is and how you manage it. His QB can’t hit the broad side of a barn and he throws it three times at the goal line. He runs it on the most obvious play. He is not taking points when points are paramount. NBC keeps putting up this stupid graphic to go for it.
Darnold is 10/25 and both teams are 1/4 on fourth downs and Goff just air mails it out of his own end zone.
This game is comically bad. Both teams too small for the moment.

I was going to say the same thing. Yes Darnold has been awful but blame has to be put on O'Connell. He has no clue what he is supposed to be doing. He has been very fortunate that Detroit has decided to play with their food.

Great run, what does he do, pass, intentional grounding. Where did these guys learn to coach? MIT? Darnold almost throws an INT. JESUS
Its the play action that is killing them. Detroit pressure is getting through. As soon as he comes out of the play fake there is 3 lions waiting for him. They need to use quick passes at this point

The biggest mistake was not taking the 3 pts in a 7-0 game. That led to him feeling like he has to go for it all the other times. Thats what happens it always snowballs. Andy Reid kicks fgs and is vying for a 3rd straight superbowl. Should be 17-15 now. I didnt have a side here but this a league wide problem of coaches going for it too much now. Used to be you could never get them to go for it, now its the wild west.

Kinda like chasing his bets. This game is over. You cannot make that many mistakes, on the road, in a game of this magnitude.
