Shanahan is the best offensive mind in the NFL and you consistently bash him. Amazing. He kicked the field goal because it was the RIGHT PLAY. You talk the points on the road to go up 10. Know what you’re talking about.
shanahan is a great offensive mind
but they’ll be lucky to get past divisional round

Shany, got tight again. I agree 100% with action. This should have been a blowout but he let Seattle hang around long enough to steal the game. It should have never come to that. He goes for two and kills their momentum but then on 4th and 2 and 4th and one he punts and gives the ball back to one of the best QBs alive while his defense is gassed. He needs to get his head right before the playoffs and figure this thing out. If the defense improves he can pull this crap and get away but if not they need to be an offensive minded team and just blow teams out to take pressure off the defense.

Usually when a young team like this has a great year and makes the playoffs, I tend to fade them but if GB meets NO, can Seattle really go into SF and beat them?? IDK...

Seattle is going to lose to Philadelphia this coming weekend. I’m almost sure of it.

If he doesnt punt and misses getting the first down, Seahawks are a MORAL to score a touchdown ...
This way, they are a chance to stop them ... Come of it brother ... Who would have went for it there ...
NO ONE !!
Completely disagree. Consider the recent history between these teams and even in this game, how Wilson has been carried up your defense last drive. Consider what happened to your defense with the Falcons and Saints before that. If they go for it, they are putting the game in the hands of the best unit this team has: its offense. Even if they fail, the defense still has to get a stop, so that doesn't change. The only thing that changes is now if Seattle scores your offense will have a chance to get the ball back and drive down to get a winning score. But Shany, just like the Atlanta game, decided that his best unit, and chance to win, is the defense and not the offense and there is no way that is true. The strength of this team is the offense right now by a mile.

Can he draw up some great plays? yes he is great at that. Did he fuck the Falcons and cost them a SB? Yes. All he had to do was run the ball a few times and they win. It is in his dna, he will choke... Darren Beville is the same way. Choked in 2009 with Vikings and Seattle in 2014. Chips are on the table they choke...

Proguy is exactly correct here. KS is among the way 2 many coaches who hit the freeze button when the game is on the line (see Garrett, dungy, etc). My favorites r when they
1. Run the ball in the ground 3 times rather than trying to get closer than a 40 ya game winning FG
2. Running 3 times and not really trying to make first down so have to punt at end of game
3. Rushing only 3 in prevent D

Shanahan quitting at the end of the first half with 45 seconds and 2 timeouts was an all timer for me. I can’t believe he sat on the ball and went into the half 13-0.
In this exact same scenario against the Saints (Niners down) 48 seconds left and 2 timeouts, Niners drove down the field and go in range for the game winning FG.
I think back to an old Pats vs Peyton Manning Colts game when Belichick on his own 30? Went for it on 4th and 2 because he didn’t trust his defense to stop the Colts offense. They didn’t pick up the first down but it was absolutely the right call. Gave his team a chance to win.
Shanahan punted and his offense never got the ball back. Got lucky to win by an inch.
