I agree it will be sold out and stadium will be full the first couple of years, but see it being more of a corporate thing after the honeymoon phase is over.

This is a great move for the Raiders. Vegas already has the money and Raider Fans from Southern California are more likely to come to Vegas for a game. Its only a 4 hour drive to vegas compared to the 8 hour drive to Northern California.

BINGO! We have a winner. Raider fans are located all over North America, and they will enjoy going to Vegas to take in a game. Lots of Raider fans from Los Angeles still, who will flock to Vegas to see the Raiders. Where would these LA fans rather go Vegas or Oakland?

Living in new Jersey I will definitely go to games in Vegas. Oakland, not so much.

I am from vegas and a life long raiders fan and I hope the move happens...like the guy said earlier...we play in a frickin baseball stadium!  Only good part about them being in Oakland is the history and going to San Francisco.

8 hours? It only takes 4-5 hours to drive from L.A. to Oakland.

what i Like about it ..is that Fans from All Cities will flock to the game of whomever the Raiders are playing.

This whole idea they're banking on that random tourists in Vegas will attend the games is absurd.

Your normal, everyday football fan travels to other NFL cities all the time during the season for different reasons. For example, a Dolphin fan might be attending a fall wedding in NYC on a particular NFL weekend. Does the Dolphin fan even think about attending the local Giants or Jets game that weekend simply because they're in a different NFL city that weekend? Of course not. Why would they?

So why would some random Rams, 49ers, Cardinals, or Seahawks fans who are in Vegas on an NFL Sunday suddenly decide to attend the local Las Vegas Raiders game? They're not a fan of the Raiders so they obviously wouldn't. They can watch NFL games in their OWN cities when their OWN teams play.

When in Vegas, go to a Vegas NFL game! - How does that theory make any sense to the average Vegas tourists from different parts of the country?

It take six hours and if you stop to eat it will take an easy 8. People rarely go on road trips without stopping.

I'm not talking about Joe Blow Dolphins fan coming to Vegas to take in a game. I'm talking about all the Raiders fans scattered throughout North America will want to come to Vegas (Every major city has direct flights to Vegas) to take in a game. Joe Blow Raider fan from Calgary sure is hell isn't heading down to Oakland to check out a game, but he will hop on a direct 2 hour flight to Vegas to check out a Raider game. Make a weekend of it in Vegas, you know the usual strippers, cocaine, hookers, gambling

All part of business--- Adelson isn't going to be made a fool. I think it is all a bit of a ploy though to be honest. He knows he can get a better deal out of it so it's back to negotiations. Ball is in Mark Davis' court now... I highly doubt he wants to keep the Raiders in Oakland and he should know that San Diego is a poor fit. How humble is he willing to be with his ego and his wallet? That will determine the outcome of all this.
